How odd, it seems that RH might have done a voice over for a Sesame Street cartoon. At least that's what the video poster said. And it does sound like him. I just didn't think the puppeteers did voices for the cartoons. Still, maybe he was trying to strengthen his resume, hehe.

Hmm, now whoever could that be? And hey, if Jim can do voices for the animation, what's to stop the rest of the team from doing it?

It sounds like Richard's channeling mostly Wayne, with some Scooter.

Someone mentioned that the FR puppeteers (especially Richard) wanted to do the voices for the animated version as well, but the producers said no.
They said the show was on a budget - and I imagine that the Muppet performers would have been a little more expensive to hire than the usual stable of voice actors.
But I wonder if it also had to do with union rules and that sort of thing - if some of the studio regulars objected to high-profile guests coming in and taking parts.

Yeah that's true. I'll try to be more open minded about these things, lol. Yeah definitely Wayne, only slightly less pompous, hehe.

That was the Karen Prell interview on Muppet Central. Yeah, there's usually some budget or union technicality. I felt so sorry for Richard when I read that, he probably didn't like the idea of anyone else playing Junior! I get the impression he was his baby, you know? It was probably sad when the live series ended and he couldn't perform him anymore. Makes me wonder what they will do with Junior in the upcoming film.

Yeah, Dave said it was a poignant moment when Gobo and the others finally met Doc face to face, so I imagine there were more than a few teary eyes at the wrap.

I do wonder what Richard and the others thought of the animated version of FR, whether they liked the voices or hated them. I mean, Richard seemed to get such a charge out of playing Junior on Fraggle Rock. There is that one moment in the documentary where Junior is going through the motions, while Richard sits off camera gleefully lip-syncing with the waldo.

(You know, seeing Richard, Cheryl and Jerry at the table makes me think of a panel of Olympic judges. It'd be funny - the Gorgs make a dive for the Fraggles, while off camera, the three puppeteers hold up signs with scores on them.)

Gorg diving competition...the very thought makes me giggle hehehe. I can see Junior Gorg enjoying that. Maybe not Ma Gorg though...and Pa Gorg would probably convince Junior to do it twice so he wouldn't have to.
