I've only so far read the books after seeing the corresponding movies. Obviously the books are better, more complete and complex. But I have enjoyed the movies thus far. Movies are extremely limited in what they can do and have to try and bring out the best of the story. That's interesting though, it might have worked as a mini series. They certainly would have had more time.

I agree, the movies are good, but the books are better. And to answer everyone's questions, I did enjoy the movie, thought it a good psychological drama.

Of the books, I think the ones I like best are "Stone," "Prisoner," "Goblet" and "Phoenix." We're all anticipating "Deathly Hallows" around here...kinda nervous about how it'll all turn out.

Let's see, I started reading the books just after "Prisoner" was released, and after Time ran a cover story on them. The school library had copies of the first three books, and as I was waiting for my brother to come and pick me up, I'd sit and read, and I was a fan pretty much from page one.

My brother hated them at first, though. He believed the rantings about the books being "evil" and "occult." But then, we all went to see the first movie as a family in Nov. '01, and now he's a fan too.

My personal favorite moments:

1. When Miles and Forgetful look at each other, so cute! (I remember the actor who played Gordon said his favorite character was Forgetful Jones and he read a book about him with his son, who is the boy playing Miles there)

2. Forgetful saying even he remembers when they brought Miles home

3. Oscar and Grandpa playing with the horn (Grandpa's voice sounds familiar!)

4. The Irish Policeman (old joke haha)

5. Forgetful Jones as a baby! (shades of Junior Gorg there) Anyone else feel like yelling out "Q! It's Q!"? Plus, I KNEW he'd end up forgetting Z!

6. The many names Forgetful accidently makes up for Susan and Clementine (I get the impression that most of those were ad libs given the actors' reactions lol)

7. Kevin Clash as grown up Miles!

8. The little kids at the end, nice touch. They don't over act like the kids on Barney.

I hope clips like this become more readily available someday. I know kids would benefit from seeing them.

Good question! Hmm, well I'll definitely look out for anything that comes up on the web up to the day. And maybe Amanda will let us know what her project was about.

And let's see, I plan to drink Orange Juice that day instead of Soda (I drink way too much Soda, so I'll go for the healthy Richard alternative!)

And I'll see if my friends would be willing to watch The Christmas Toy with me (I just bought it from Amazon), so they can listen to me point out the Richard moments all night.

Hmm...I'm going to keep brainstorming while I try to find some Alfalfa sprouts. I hear they're good for the brain! (I never get to use the Janice smiley!)

Did anyone see the thread about the show Ghost Hunters? Apparently they were searching the Henson studio for ghost sightings. Wonder if anyone was watching them...hehe

That's exactly what I was wondering. (looks up at cloud) Hey, guys, were any of you, by any chance, lurking around the Henson studios when the Ghost Hunters came to call?

JH: We weren't lurking, we were visiting.
R: I was going to drop a water balloon on the head of one of the TAPS guys...but I instead wrote "Your face!" in the dust on the floor.
JH: I think that freaked them a little bit.
R: A little bit? (huffs) I'm losing my touch.
MN: Any idea who the woman was?
R: Probably either Christine or Eren.
JH: There were a bunch of us down there when the crew came by...might have been one of the guest stars from the Muppet Show.

Me: Hey guys... Been listening to the Muppetcast podcast run by fellow forum member, Stephenjlizard. After listening to Episode #12, his tribute to Sam the Eagle, I came up with a question I wanted to ask the members of the RHLC.
You know that in one of the pilots to theMuppet Show, Sex and Violence, the Muppets are hosting a "Seven Deadly Sins" pageant. My question to you is...
What are your reactions to Richard being Lust?

Honestly, I just thought the puppet looked so funny and cute with his tongue sticking out, lol. And the way he "looked over" Nigel.

I also liked Richard being Crazy Harry...sounding just like Scooter! ("This way, Tanya!") Of course, I imagine he didn't think it sounded like Scooter at the time, since I assume Scooter wasn't quite born yet.

Hehe! Yup, I imagine they left that part out of the show, because it was just a little too real for the so called "Ghost Hunters"! Hehe

(For the record, I believe there are spirits, as in people who have died but still exist, but I don't take these TV shows too seriously. Though they are a blast to watch!)

Hehe! Yup, I imagine they left that part out of the show, because it was just a little too real for the so called "Ghost Hunters"! Hehe

R: If they want to do something constructive, why don't they head up to the Cape and try and find the Lady of the Dunes?
MN: Lady of the Dunes...oh, right...they still don't know who she is or who killed her. (shiver) But the news stories never mentioned a ghost.
R: Oh, she's there; I've ran into her a few times up by Race Point. (pause) She's always crying.

Yeah Richard's Harry seemed less interested in the pyrotechnics themselves, and just loved chaos in general.

I had a very bizzare Richard dream last night! Um...ok, the other puppeteers were puzzling over the fact that Richard had just changed his name to Ringo (since the real Ringo's real name is Richard.)

::shakes head:: I have NO IDEA where that came from!
