The thing to remember is, you never know what can happen.

Some of you might know about Jerry Nelson's daughter Christine. Her mother Jacquie Gordon wrote a book about her called One Wish: A True Story of Courage and Love. Google books put some excerpts up. This one was from when she went to film The Great Muppet Caper (where she had a cameo):

"Chris loved being on the set again and this time she really felt like one of the group. Everyone was glad to see her. Richard Hunt lifted her up in a bear hug. Then he stepped back and said, 'Hi Gumbelina, you've gotten so beautiful,' and she blushed happily. Richard had given her the nickname on 'Sesame Street.' "

Well, Mom has made a mandate for me: I'm supposed to move out by January of next year. Lovely.

Not a bad thing perhaps, because although I love my mother and father very much, we're just butting heads way too much. At least lately. Maybe this is a good thing.

Hmm, well yes it's normal to start clashing with your parents as you get older. Separating is often healthy, it's an opportunity to learn to do things for yourself and gain new responsibilities. It can be hard too, it's good to be cautious, but that's life, heh. Again, good luck with everthing.

Here's some virtual tea and sympathy, Sara. (accidentally touches hot surface of tea kettle) Ouch! Who's got the aloe vera?

But seriously, here's hoping it all works out in the end.

That's rather sweet...sounds like Richard and Christine kind of had a big brother-little sister relationship of sorts. I wonder where exactly the nickname came from?

Aw, Sara, I'm sorry that really does suck. :embarrassed: If you need anything, talk or whatever, let me know.

Heralde that is the cutest Richard quote I've ever read. It is SOOO going on the list.

I haven't been a very active member of the RHLC and one day I must take the time to read everything in here through. But I have seen your last couple of posts Sara and I sympathize with you deeply. I hope things will indeed work out for the best for you, your parents, your intended and all concerned.

I am thinking of you often Sara dear friend.

Um... Sorry to change the subject, just for a second... But heralde, since you're the club's AV master finding all the great Richard Sesame Street character clips on youtube.com, I wondered if you could help me out. I'm looking for the Sesame Street News Flash segment where Kermit interviews the Alphabet Miners at the J-Mine. The main miner is named, well, I think you know who he's named after.
If you could post the link here, that'd be great. Thanks.

Yep... That's the one, thanks Marianne. Now alls I need is help identifying the individual miners. There's Richard of course, and I don't think the others were named, but would appreciate any/all help in identifying them by skin color, gender, and/or Muppet type.
There was a female miner in the first cart when Kermit entered, one who talks to Kermit about the words that start with J (unsure who voiced him), and maybe one other probably Jerry whose lines are quickly mumbled in one of the passing carts. You can PM me or send me a message, or post what help you can provide in the Season 38 Characters thread in the Sesame Street section.

Thanks, hope to get this done soon.
