Oh my gosh! :excited: Hehe, that is so awesome! Thanks for posting it, heralde. I sure hope it stays up!

And thanks for letting us know a few more things about the Quilting with the Muppets book. It sure sounds really sweet. I really love the explanation of the colors. It sure does say it all, and I think it's perfect!

No problem guys. I was just totally stunned when I saw it! Hehe, I think we said this the last time it was discussed, but it is rather funny to hear Richard grouped with the "extrodinarily shy men." Hehe

Yeah, I'm not very artsy as far as visual stuff goes. But it's interesting to see what thought goes into it. I really hope I can eventually learning quilting so I can do some of these things! lol

Yeah, and Morley also called Scooter "a royal pain," and commented that Gonzo's got no talent. But it was fun to watch the Muppets heckling Morley for cracking up during the interview - and Mom said that he seemed lost.

That's good, heralde. I kind of picked it up as I went along. Mom kind of jokes that we started with the advanced project and worked our way down.

Yeah I guess Morley lost his shot at being the next Muppet Show guest, hehe. First qualification: "Don't laugh at the Muppets...unless they just told a joke of course!"

Well other than the little crack up, I thought he did well.

Jim seemed very down to Earth, having no idea how much The Muppets' empire might be worth! Hehe

I wonder if Richard was surprised to see he was the first person they showed. Also, during the part with Fozzie and Beauregard, I think Richard was hoping Morley would ask about Beaker!

Hah, that's true. I love how Kermit looked at himself and was like "Hmm. A dollar seventy-five for felt and...how much are ping-pong balls going for these days?"

I personally really did not like Morley's reporting. I guess I got a teeny bit protective when he interrupted Richard or something, but I was just getting this bad vibe from him the whole time.

Yeah I understand, it was sort of like he was trying to make Richard's point before he made it, heh. It should have been obvious that Richard didn't mind talking!

I was amazed that Frank Oz was called the world's finest puppeteer, pretty impressive! :halo:

I love this interview, partially because it was the first time I ever really saw Richard as a person, without the puppet. And it really showcases how huge The Muppet Show was. Heh, on "both sides of the iron curtain." And it's interesting how no one was trying to compete with the Muppets because a less ambitious attempt wouldn't be good enough. And how they were compared to "they heyday of Disney!"

"What we do is what everyone else in the world wants to do, and that's to act crazy. Except we get paid to do it." I love that line.

And, yes, Miss Piggy does get awfully territorial whenever there's a "girl singer" on the show. Case in point: Linda Ronstadt.

Oh, and speaking of girl singers (though the singer in question was a grown woman, and much more than a singer): I just heard that Beverly Sills has died.
