Yeah, this is why I’m more for physical media; once it’s yours, it’s yours. I use streaming for the advantage of checking out something once and see what I think.

I've kind of resigned to the fact that I'll probably never, ever accomplish my dreams, especially with the turn my life has ended up taking, but after seeing promos for THE BARBARIAN AND THE TROLL, I feel like salt was rubbed in my wounds a little to see that, yes, there's still a market for puppet shows on broadcast TV, but all of my shows will never be realized.

I mean..... tough pill to swallow: pitching shows is not easy, and unfortunately a lot of it relies on luck.

I can respect at least giving it a try; that really takes a lot. But unfortunately in TV life you’ll hear more no’s than you will yes.

Do what John Dilworth does.
Well, I mean, when you think about, that's kind of what I've been doing: just little shorts and stuff. Sure, they're fun to do in and of themselves, and that can present interesting challenges when you can only work with whatever tools you have at your disposal . . . but it can be a little frustrating having so many bigger, better ideas trapped in your mind and not being able to realize them to their full potential.

But again, it is kind of something that I've pretty much accepted as being about all that I can do with my craft - even to the point that I actually kind of feel like I've become to puppetry what Dilly is to animation.

Which does remind, I have got to get around to having a Skype chat with him - I told him I would, and he's even DMed me about it a couple of times on Instagram. Nice that he enjoys interacting with the fans so much.

Like I said, the fact that you even attempted to pitch your ideas is to me an accomplishment. Sure, it didn’t go in the areas you went, but the fact you at least tried is definitely a big plus.

As I said previously, the tv industry with show pitching is unfortunately very tough and luck-based. And I mean knowing the fact that Mr Meaty did not last long on Nickelodeon before, just because this new series may have gotten the green light on Nick doesn’t mean it could have a good long run. If I’m being honest, I don’t see it lasting more than a year.

The ironic thing is almost all of my concepts are kind of meant for one season anyway . . . I can't seem to work on one project for a long period of time before I'm ready to move onto the next project . . . then sometimes, I end up like that Facebook meme of that girl who keeps chasing after all of those balloons that say "New Project" and she's all, "Ooh! I wanna work on that! And that one too! And that!" Even at the present time, I'm juggling about three different little projects at the same time.

Honestly man if you wanna keep things short then keeping them online is probably for the best. Networking them to television also means they have a say in what happens with the show.
