Yeah, I used to intern at our local PBS station; I was basically a go-fer most of the time but on special occasions they would let operate one of the cameras (usually the one they knew would require the least movement), and then when would have pledge-drives for children's television (like Sesame Street of course) I became co-puppeteer.
