I have a soft spot for Phil, too. He had some big shoes to fill when Peter Gabriel left Genesis, and he was responsible for bringing Genesis from Progressive Obscurity (not the worst thing in the world) into the mainstream.

I enjoy his solo work, but I split a few hairs over his cover of "You Can't Hurry Love".
Diana Ross he ain't.

Same applies to Mick Jagger/David Bowie's cover "Dancing in the Street".
Almost could've fit ten years prior on Bowie's "Pin-Ups" album. Maybe.

I'm still kinda annoyed that Phil's sappy, narmy song from Tarzan got an academy award, and South Park's brilliant "Blame Canada" with even more brillianter performance by Robin Williams was snubbed.

At least those South park boys had fun with that. I wonder what they would have done if Book of Mormon didn't win the Tony.

The Mr. Between Song from Sesame Street. I used to like it, but I could of been more wrong. I hate it! I should never like it as a kid in the first place.

Radioactive by...I think Imagine Dragons?

Just...why? How is this song so popular? I don't understand...

Maybe because this generation's music is a bunch of modern pop music that's pretty generic, they probably haven't heard much almost rock-ish (I SAID ALMOST) music.

Imagine Dragons has way better songs, but that'll probably always be their hit. Can't say I like it either.

"Who Let The Dogs Out?" - Baha Men (cover of someone, not sure who)
"All Star" - Smash Mouth (they have MUCH better songs, like their cover of War's Why Can't We Be Friends?)
"Party Rock Anthem" - ***** (I'll admit the synths are earworms)
"Best Song Ever" - One Direction (blatant ripoff of "Babo O'Reily")
"Roar" - Katy Perry
"We Can't Stop" - Miley Cyrus (UGH.)

Electric Mayhem covering these songs would make them 30% better.

Actually, I liked SNL's "We Did Stop," but enough of that.

While I don't really have problems with this ad personally, I HATE HATE HATE the swelling, emotionally manipulative, narmy music they play during those "Glowpets" commercials. I mean... really... it's a TOY! It sounds like music they play when someone dies in a very emotionally manipulative disease of the week movie.
