So if you are all done with your fixation on former President Trump, maybe you can find the time to say a prayer for the U.S. troops and embassy staff in Afghanistan. The capitol is about to be overrun by the Taliban due to current President Biden's decision to withdraw from Afghanistan despite recommendations from the Secretary of Defense and top generals in the region. It could get real ugly.

Personally Biden is just as corrupt a president as Trump is and can easily eff up this country at any time. I had a good laugh at that meme and felt the need to brighten up this thread a bit.

There will always be memes. If you’re a politician or celebrity, if you’re in the public eye, someone will take a potshot at you.

In the last couple decades, there seems to be a general lack of respect for others in society.
The media certainly doesn’t help, pushing this narrative if these people are different than you, they’re bad. Or if these people don’t agree with you, they’re bad.

The only exception I can find right now are trans people. In a country of 330 million, only 1.4 million identify as trans. That’s still only 0.0042% of the population. If you fail to respect a trans person’s pronouns, you’ll catch grief like you can’t believe. Nobody wants to deny anyone’s humanity. But in an ever-shifting paradigm where one day you can be he, and tomorrow be they/them/it/tha,wa/aha, how can anyone keep up?

Trump wanted to withdraw in May but Biden pushed the date up to September. Not sure if the situation would have been better under Trump but Biden is handling it terribly.

I have no problem with us leaving Afghanistan. It's an unwinnable place and has been as long as history. It's the way we have done it that has been an absolute failure on the Biden's administration's part. And I know that Afghanistan has been a president's nightmare for the last 20 years. But President Biden is in charge now so it falls on him.

That was just a few weeks ago. Either President Biden told a big lie or he was completely clueless about the situation. Either way, it's unacceptable.

How so? Do you know his plan for withdrawing from Afghanistan? If so, could you provide a link? In all sincerity, President Trump's plan may have been just as bad. But it's hard to imagine anything being worse than what is going on now. So if you have something to show his plan I'd be interested.
