I hope the five episodes that will be on the set are good. I was going to try to list the ones I would pick, but there's too many good ones to pick just five.

Somehow I'm guessing the 5 episodes will be the 5 season premieres: 1, 131, 276, 406, and 536. That's what seems the most appropriate.

Yeah, the season premieres would make sense. I would like to see the other 4, especially since one of them has Hal Miller's first appearance as Gordon.

If/ when more volumes get released, I wonder if they will still focus on the years 1969-1974 or if they will expand, perhaps to 1976 or 1979, or perhaps focus on years after 1974 (1974-1979, etc). Or if they will be themed differently (like "Sesame Street in Hawia", featuring the hawiai episodes, or "Big Bird goes to Camp Echo Rock", focusing on.. oh, you know...).

I was thinking recently that it would have been great if Sesame Workshop decided to put out releases of all season premiers, starting with the first five, and then making sets for the seasons 6-10 premiers, season 11-15 premiers, and so on. Of course, the season premiers for seasons 33 and 34 have already been released on DVD (and if you count The Street We Live On as an episode as opposed to a stand-alone special, then we've got the season 35 premier on DVD as well).

I just noticed that the guest stars listed have J as their first initials. Coincidence? It's interesting that Rubber Duckie and C is for Cookie are both going to be included, as those have been released on video and DVD many times in the past (unless the version of Rubber Duckie that's included will be the one from the test pilots, which hasn't been released on video or DVD).

I was thinking the same as well. Hopefully we'll get more information about this set around mid September. I have mixed feelings about this set until I hear the skits and bonus features that are going to be included.

Well, see, the thing is: Classic clips like "Rubber Duckie" and "'C' is for Cookie" might not be that special to us, but they could be very special for some other people. I would not be surprised if the 5 episodes that will be included will be some of the same ones that were on Unpaved on Noggin. And the clip compliation could very well be sketches we already have. But you have to realize that most people don't have this enormous collection of SS episodes like some of us do. So, for them, 5 episodes and the classic clips that are on there will really be a miracle to them.

Aw man, I didn't want full episodes...well, hopefully they're really good episodes, and hopefully the other 2 hours have TONS of classic clips!
