I never got to see the "Les Miserables" film that he was in, but he gave a powerful performance indeed in "Schindler's List"--he always seems to come off as such a good person. I wonder if he's ever played against that...
Anyway, I liked that in "Love Actually" there were two Hogwarts professors and a Jedi Master. Sounds like the setup of a joke...
LOL! Yeah, it does...
I saw the "Les Mis" film for a high school history class, several years before the same high school did the musical and I went back and saw it. It actually made me cry.
That almost never happens. Oddly enough, it took us several days to get through the movie - which she had rented and she ran out of time and wasn't going to let us see the end until we protested so loudly that she went out and rented it again (boy am I butchering this sentence) - but like the night after we finished it, my dad rented it, completely at random, never even heard of the movie before, and had no idea we were watching it in class!!!
That was weird.
I LOVE that scene at the end of "Schindler's List," where he's talking about how many Jews he could have saved if he'd sold this or that, and he breaks down... That is such a moving scene. Very sad and inspirational at the same time. Really a great movie overall, even though it's very hard to watch a lot of it.
