Oh were all right there with you man! Indeed, were all hoping for an outcome to ensure a bright future for our beloved frry guys. I hope that when I have children someday they'll be able to experience the same quality of rich Muppet programming I grew up with.

And yes, one of the coolest things about the Muppets was seeing them juxtaposed against ornate or unexpected backdrops and settings. Like that Cosby show you mentioned, or Nightline, or Martha Stewart, or any number of talk and game shows.

Anyways, just wanted to say welcome aboard to you and all the other newcomers! It's really neat to see so many new folks as of late!

Newbie

Hello to all!

I'm new to this, so bear with me. I am a puppeteer/builder/script writer/set builder, etc..... I have loved the Muppets for as long as I can remember, I think I am just a couple years older than Sesame Street itself. Anywho, I know that is where my love of puppetry started.

Currently I am taking classes full time in the evenings at PCC in Tucson, AZ for my Associates degree in Graphic Design. Along with working full-time and being a full time mom of 3 girls (10-15).

We moved from Chicago 2 years ago, while we were there, my husband and I were the puppet team directors of our chuch. It was alot of fun and we really miss it.

I also make a line of puppets I call "Portrait Puppets".

Ok, enough of my life story. I've already read some very interesting messages here, looking forward to looking at some more!

Here's a link to the main page.

Muppet Central Radio

All the instructions for setting it up should be self explainatory. Phil or other members of the forum can help you out should you need it.

I try to listen as much as I can. It cracks me up and brings a flood of memories back.

I'm listening to it now! At the moment, they're playing "Borneo", the UK sketch that got cut from the Julie Andrews eisode. It's nice to hear some stuff that quite a few people have never even heard!

Here comes the music from TMTM when Kermit and Piggy are riding the horse and carrage!

Oh, okay. It's "I'm Gonna Always Love You"

Hello!

I was on one other thread in this forum section (the "Ode to Rowlf" discussion), but really haven't chatted much. So I guess I'd better introduce myself! My name is Tiffany Cox -- I wrote "For Rowlf" in the ode section of this site -- but I usually go by Gwyn.

I've been a Muppet fan ever since I was a child and I have wonderful memories of going to the films with my dad (one of the few times he spent time with us, just having fun). My husband and I are great admirers of Jim Henson, not just as a genius in his field(s), but as an outstanding human being. As a matter of fact, our son's middle name is Henson for that very reason.

I can't describe my favorite Muppets or scenes because there are so many! And they have changed over the years as well. As a child, I preferred Ernie to Bert. Now, while I still love Ernie dearly, I have discovered just how funny Bert really is! But I suppose my all-time favorite is (and always will be) Kermit.

This site is absolutely awesome! Very thorough and highly enjoyable. I love everything about it! My congrats to you all who work so hard on it and keep us up to date on the latest in Muppet news. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Keep on "bein' green."

Okay, so I have been posting for a quite a bit lately and have not formally or informally introduced myself.

I have always been a muppet fan since I was little. I always watched Sesame Street and anything to do with the muppets. This trend or addiction, as I call it, has been with me all my life.

I have read most of the books put out by the Jim Henson Company. I also am highly addicted to the new line of Palisades Action Figures. I think this is what really refueled my love of the muppets.

Currently, I am a full time Student at Ball State University in Indiana studying Business. Most of my friends just laugh when they see all the muppet action figures I have in my room.

Well that's me in a nut shell. No wait! This is me in a nut shell! Ahhhhh! Get me out of here!

-Daniel
