Dee: Hiya everybody.Just to catch up,I'm on my second breakout round of poison ivy, from doing yardwork. So tired of itching & the heat isn't helping.I replied with email to yours Count. Thanks for the reminder for our robes.Hope all is well with everyone and have a good day.

<Dr. Teeth sings>
One, two, three, four, five, six pox
Rest your wings
Seven, eight, nine, ten
As I count your green things
Eleven, twelve and thirteen pox
Now close your eyes
As I count fourteen green dots on your thighs

Fifteen and sixteen
Now hang your head low
Seventeen pox, eighteen
On your big toe
Nineteen and twenty
To sleep now you'll fall
And I've counted twenty
Twenty bird-pox in all
Yes, I've counted twenty
Twenty bird-pox in all

Rosita: Hey, Bryan. There is a box here at the door.
Bry: Oh, hey! Maybe it's my package.

Rosita: (picking it up and bringing it inside) You're name is on it. It must be yours.
Bry: (Taking box from Rosita) Oh wow!! You know how long I've been waiting for this thing to arrive?

Oscar: (calling from down the hall) Yes, please don't remind us!!
Rosita: Oh, Oscar. (laughs)
Big Bird: (coming back in) Hey, what's going on?
Rosita: Bryan got a package.
Big Bird: You did? You mean that little box that Grover was carrying was for you?
Bry: That's right, Big Bird.

Big Bird: Oh, boy! Well, what's in it?
Bry: Well, I'll show ya. Let's just open it up here. First I need to get a knife to cut the tape with.

Big Bird: Oh, be careful with that knife there. You don't wanna hurt yourself.
Bry: Thanks, Big Bird.

Rosita: Well, what is it?
Big Bird: Yeah, I wanna see.
Bry: Just a sec... this thing is really packaged good.

(Finally getting it open) Woohoo!!

Big Bird: What is it?
Bry: This! (holding it up)

Big Bird: It's a little plastic toy. Hey, you know what? That toy looks just like Kermit.
Bry: It is Kermit, Big Bird.

Big Bird: Nah, I may be a big bird, but that frog looks too small to be Kermit.
Rosita: No, Big Bird. It is a toy of Kermit. Right, Bryan?
Bry: That's right. But not just any toy. This is a very special toy. It's the Rainbow Connection Kermit from Palisades. Remember when we watched that movie that Kermit was in and he played the banjo and sang that song?

Big Bird: Oh, yeah. I guess it looks just like him, only smaller.
Rosita: Yeah, and look at the cute little vegetables in there too. And little green Robin. Oh, I just want to hold him and love him all the time!
Big Bird: Wait. Who is this little boy here in this picture?
Bry: Oh, that's Cooper Perry. He is the boy that this figure was made for.

Rosita: Oh, well I hope he likes it too.
Big Bird: Yeah!
Bry: Well, actually guys, he isn't really here to play with it.

Big Bird: Well, of course not, silly. He is at his own house playing.
Bry: No, I mean, Cooper Perry died.

Big Bird: Died?
Bry: Yeah, remember when Mr. Hooper died?

Big Bird: Oh, yeah, i sure do. That was so sad.
Bry: Yeah, well, the same thing happened to Cooper. He died of a sickness called meningitis.

Rosita: But he is so young.
Bry: Yeah, that happens sometimes. But they made this special figure in his memory, and the money that people spend on these toys will go to a special fund to help support research about brain trauma.

Rosita: Well, that's nice. This is a very special figure.
Bry: It is. And by purchasing this, we helped other children.

Big Bird: We did?
Bry: That's right. Makes you feel good, huh.

Big Bird: It sure does. (looking at picture) Hi, Cooper. Wherever you are, we are sure thinking about you.
Rosita: And we all love you very much.
Big Bird: Yeah!
Bry: That's sweet, guys. Come on! Lets go put this somewhere with the other figures.

Big Bird: Hey, Bryan?
Bry: Yeah, Big Bird?

Big Bird: If it's okay with you, can I put the picture of Cooper by my nest next to Mr. Looper?
Bry: I think that would be great, Big Bird. (patting him on the beak)

*Surprised he got Cooper correct on his first try.
**That's a nice thought, BB placing the picture of Cooper next to his sketched portrait of Mr. Hooper.

Sorry I didn't answer you earlier Big Bird. Was downstairs having dinner. As for right now, think I'll relax a bit more with a bit of TV. My brother came today, and I'll be doing a bit of fussing and reworking with the figures that are still MOC and/or MIB in my collection.

You know Bry... When I get packages that big, be it from PT or my online dealings... Usually I end up finding a slit on the sides to slide in my home keys, and I use them to rip that sucker open. Ends up being much safer than having to ask the Chef to borrow one of his knives.
Glad you got your RC Kermit though. For the time being, I'll put it with the others I'm counting as part of S10. But when I work with the overall display, he'll go in front of the band on the left center shelf.

Have a good night guys.

Hi, Ed. Yeah, Big Bird didn't mess up Cooper's name like he does Hooper. I have come to figure out that when it comes to other kids' names, he doesn't forget.

Bry: Eeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Big Bird: What's wrong?

Rosita: Yeah, que pasa?

Bry: Oh, I can't sleep.

Rosita: Aw, why not?

Bry: I dunno. I guess I just have a lot on my mind. All the things I need to do tomorrow.

Rosita: Is there anything we can do to help?

Bry: I just can't seem to relax.

A Gravelly Voice: (from outside the window) Sounds like you could use some soothing melodies to rest your brain.

Bry: What? (going over to the window and seeing a familiar friend with a saxaphone sitting on the wooden flower garden box on the sill.) Hoots, is that you?

Hoots: You bet your bass cleff, it is.

Rosita: Well, what are you doing out here by our window?

Hoots: Just enjoying the soft sounds of the night and playing a few of my own.

Big Bird: You mean, that was you that's been playing that music the last few nights.

Hoots: That's right, "Big Bopper."

Bry: Do you live in the dorms?

Hoots: No, not exactly. But sometimes I like to come here at night and play my music. It's sort of a way for me to unwind.

Bry: Unwind?

Hoots: Sure, in fact, it sounded as if you could use a little unwinding yourself. All you have to do is listen to the soft night sounds around you. And a nice steady rhythm will cool your head nicely too. I even know a song about it. What do you say I sing you dudes a real cool tune on my horn here? I guarantee it'll melt your muscles right into your mattress.

Bry: Sounds great. Are you sure it'll work?

Hoots: Hey, is Guy smiley?

Bry: Okay...Thanks, Hoots. (getting back in bed)

Hoots: (Playing a soft jazzy melody on his saxaphone, and sings...)
Quiet is raindrops falling on grass
Quiet is clocks that tick and hours that pass
Quiet is breezes blowing soft in the air
Quiet is elm trees growing
Quiet is no one there...

Quiet is lonesome once in a while,
But quiet is feeling good and starting to smile
Quiet is like a soft and gentle sound
That helps us listen to the world that's all around...
(Saxaphone solo)

Quiet is like a soft and gentle sound
That helps us listen to the world that's all around_________.

Goodnight.

Morning Red!
Red: Morning! You're in a good mood today!
Yeah, I'm going to have a voice lesson which is just always a nice pick me up.
Red: Oh, that sounds fun! I like singing too!
You should come with me sometime! I'll have to give my teacher some advance notice though.
Red: I can understand that!
I'm also applying for two new jobs today!
Red: You are? I'm so proud of you! You're finally ready to take that step!
Yep! But, if something doesn't work out, I'm ok with that too.
Red: Well, it sounds like you've got the right attitude!
Well, it makes a difference. Anyway, you want to grab lunch after my lesson?
Red: Hey, you know me and food!
All right, I'll see you in a little while then!

What happens next?

Rowlf: Pardon?

What happens next? See this happens, and then they do that, so what happens next?

Rowlf: You're asking me what happens next in your story?

Well, you are a character in it, I thought maybe you would know.

Rowlf: <shakes head>

Darn. Do you think Chef would know?

Rowlf: Doubtful.

Darn. Hey I know, I'll go outside. I usually think better there.

Rowlf: I think I might join you.

Why, am I coming apart?

Rowlf: I thought the bad puns were my job.

Sorry.

Big Bird: So what are we gonna do?
Bry: Well, I thought maybe we can go down to the beach and lay out in the sun. You all wanna come?

Rosita: I dunno. It's pretty hot outside.
Bry: Yeah, but you can go in the water if you want to. I'll watch you.

Rosita: Okay.
Bry: Big Bird?

Big Bird: No, thanks. I think I'm gonna go see what The Count is doing.
Bry: Okay, suit yourself. Come on, Rosita.
