(thundering noises come through ceiling)

Storyteller: Cake's done...(suddenly looks up at ceiling, and accidentally puts her bare hand on the hot pan) Ow! Oh!
Nora: Storyteller!
Erin: Nora, get the pan from her. Storyteller, get your hand under cold water, pronto. I'm going to go see what's going on upstairs. (runs from room and heads for elevator)
Storyteller: Oh, no...(holds hand under stream of cold water) I won't be able to hold a pen for a while.
Scooter: (nods head sympathetically) It's okay, you can just dictate your stories to someone for a bit - (hears a knock on the door) I'll get it. (opens door) Oh, hi, Big Bird, how's it going...hey, great, thanks!
Beige: Was that the thundering thing from upstairs?
Scooter: (listening to more thundering upstairs) No, it was just Big Bird. (comes into kitchen holding a covered basket) He brought us something.
Nora: (lifts the cloth on the basket) Sunflower-sesame seed honey bars. Very nice!

upstairs:

Erin: Hi, Alex, what's going on...you rooming with Bigfoot now? (pause, sees Sweetums) I was close...Sweetums! Hi, how's it going?

(back downstairs)

Storyteller: (gingerly turning the cake out of the pan and onto a rack, with Nora's help) So that thundering's stopped...
Erin: (returning) It's okay, gang, I just met Alex's new roommate - and guess who it is?
Beige: Has she got a Gorg living up there with her? Or did one of her current roommates get a hold of Dr. Honeydew's Insta-Gro pills?
Scooter: (wincing) Don't go there.
Erin: Neither. It's Sweetums.
Storyteller: Is he here now? Oh, excellent, excellent!
Beige: Wait, I might have seen him before - is he that big, shaggy beast?
Scooter: Yeah - (glumly) and now he's rooming with the little, shaggy beast.
Nora: (gently chiding) Oh, Scooter, is Bean really all that bad?
Erin: No - he's worse. And there's two little, shaggy beasts - you forgot Elmo. (spots basket) What have we got here?
Storyteller: Present from Big Bird and Bryan. Arrived just after you went running upstairs.
Erin: Hmm - sunflower-sesame seed honey bars. These look good; they'll make a good pre-bike ride snack.

Claudia:
What a quiet night.
*Looks out her window*

Bunsen:
Isn't it? A lovely change rather than our chaotic habits. Oh...I have a dreadful headache that may just be enough to cause an earthquake from here to L.A.

Claudia:
Yeah. I'll toast to that silent thing but not to your splitting headache. I'm sorry about that, Bunnie. *Raises cup of juice*

Bunsen:
Yes. *Raises his cup of tea as a toast to her*
Speaking of apologies, I'm afraid you owe me one.

Claudia:
What? *Slowly realizes*
Ohohoho...nope. I was just having my fun.
I owe you not, an apology.

Bunsen:
Indeed you do.
*Places his cup on his nightstand*

Claudia:
Aw, don't tell me that.
*Pouts*

Bunsen:
Fine, you needn't apologize.
*Presses his hand against his head with a groan*

Claudia:
*Bites her lip feeling guilt tug at her*
Ok, I am sorry.

Bunsen:
*Looks good-natured*
No problem, dear.

Claudia:
For a moment I thought you were gonna
rub it in my face and chuckle at my misery.

Bunsen:
I'd do so but I'm in no condition for that.
*Chuckles weakly*
Ooooohhh...

Claudia:
It will pass. I've never seen you with
such a headache before.

Bunsen:
It happens occasionally.
Very rare as it is nothing new.

Claudia:
Beaker and Dr. Van Neuter slept really early...

Bunsen:
They've been creating an early sleeping habit.
It is a most healthy thing. You should be sleeping too, missy.

Claudia:
Naw.
*Sticks tounge out*

Bunsen:
Dear me.
Fine, go ahead--I find joy in a friend's company anyway.

Claudia:
Better.

Bunsen:
Certainly.

Alex: *walking back to her room with Sweetums* .... and then I said - oh look! Bryan and Big Bird left us a present!
Sweetums: I don't get it?
Alex: No, no. See? They left us a treat!
Sweetums: Aw, aren't they great? You know, I've always wanted to meet Big Bird!
Alex: Well, why don't we go pay them a little visit? I'll just see if the other boys want to come along. *opens door* Hey Bean! Elmo! We're gonna go visit Bryan!
Elmo: Wait wait! Elmo is coming too!
Bean: I'm coming! *runs out the door*
*the four head over to Bryans room*

Well you've read one too.

Bruce: My mom read this story to me all the time.

Murray: Shhhhhhhhh...trying to listen.

*Comes back with Count and Uncle Deadly after enjoying a thick classic pepperoni and sausage pizza pie, the kind that's more of a fluffy dessert pie than the flattened pie you get at the normal pizzeria...
Boy, they sure make a great pie over at Jull's Parlor.
UD: Yes, and the ghost host with the most is certainly a defright to be catered by.
Count: Mmm, so vonderful to count the slices of pepperoni and little sausage meatballs vhile enjoying a good meal...

Sated and contented, the occupants of Room #1 change from going-out clothes into their normal casual room clothes, preparing for a soundful sleep of ages at this late hour.

And in response to Kathy's assertions of the Chef being a nice guy, all I have to say is "awgah... herdy-flirdy, yah yah."
Good night everybody...

Count, quietly: The MC Dorms vere brought to you by the number 11... *A ghostly 11 escapes from the organ's pipes without nary a peep, as the silencer segments had been carefully connected over their mouths.
And by the letter T for Transylwania. Nighty-night, and don't let the batty bats bite.

Ernie: Hey, Bryan. What are you doing up so late?
Bryan: Oh, just planning a surprise for Big Bird tomorrow.
Ernie: A surprise? Is it his birthday?
Bryan: No, no. It's just a very special...something for him. Biff and Sully will be here early in the morning to help.
Ernie: What is it?
Bryan: (Whispers in Ernie's ear so no one can hear a word)
Ernie: Oh wow! He's gonna love that!
Bryan: Yeah! Now don't tell him, remember. It's supposed to be a secret.
Ernie: You can count on me! I'm good at keeping secrets. Like the time I used one of Bert's argyle socks to clean the bathtub. No one knows about that. Well...now you do, but I'm still good at it!
Bryan: Don't worry, Ernie. I trust you.
Ernie: Good.
Bryan: You better get some rest.
Ernie: You too.
Bryan: Yeah, I'll be hitting the pillow in a few minutes.
Ernie: Okay. Goodnight.
Bryan: Goodnight, Ernie. Sleep tight.
