*He places the lit candle ornament on the first vacant branch of our ornaments tree, the one we set up the other day with just Christmas lights wrapped around it.

Ah, since it's the first of December, I think I'll make our annual number cookies and then hand them out to HV/forum friends appropriately.
Me: What's the lineup for this year?
I'm probably going to make macadamia ones and sixes, PB twos and sewens, chocolate chip threes and eights, oatmeal raisin fours and nines, and double chocolate fives and zeros in batches as the month progresses.
UD: Let us know if you need any help in the kitchen.

*Trundles off to work some cookie-making magic.

*Earlier in the afternoon...
removes the trays of cookies that were in the oven and pushes in another couple of trays.

By now they've cooled down enough to eat while retaining that 'fresh baked' quality and crunch to them.
Mmm, now to wait and see who comes calling first.
UD: Or who posts more fic first, Aunt Ru or Kris.
In the mean time, let's move on to Tim Burton World.
Me: *listening to MCR*, you know, I think he must have been partially inspired by the Holiday Mix-Up sketch from Sesame Street News Flash where Kermit got waylaided by an Easter bunny with Halloween stuff, a witch bouncing down the lane with the colored eggs, and finally a confused Santa who thought the frog was the holiday leader.

*Places the crescent-shaped ornament on another branch.
Me: Two twined serpents.
And one candle for our ornaments tree.

*Today...
On the fourth day of December, my true love gave to me...
Four dark riding horses.
*Places a shadowy spectral horse's head ornament on its branch.
UD: Three waining moons.
Me: Two twined serpents.
And one candle for our ornaments tree.

Mmm... It's starting to get cold outside.
UD: Cold enough to freeze your Winnebago?
You've either been hanging with Fozzie or watching MFC again. *Rye .
Better make some hot chocolate then.
Wonder where everybody's gotten to. Wanted to hand out some of our cookies, but that can be done tomorrow as people come back for another workweek. *Shrugs, serves self some cold cereal and listens to MCR.

Me; (chuckles) Yes, you did, Tutter... And that was a nice thing you guys did for him, too. I guess it would be okay if Jack came by.

Me: You're welcome, guys. When is he coming over?

Ojo: Tomorrow.

They smell delicious! Oh...speaking of cookies, but not necessarily Christmas ones placing a container of chocolate chip cookies shaped like 8s on the counter From Ed & the crew in Apartment 1.
Chef: Yu nibbul on those while these cool off. I'll send sum cookies ovur tu nekst door when they cool off.
Sounds fair. Where'd everyone else besides Robin go?
Chef starts humming a little bit of "Jingle Bells", then speaks, Christmus shopping ,yu knuckulhed!
Of course! How could I be so dumb?
Chef: Nah...nut dumb.Just a blunde moomint.
Blonde moment?? Chef...you know perfectly well my hair is brown!
Chef: Ja...sez yu! Yu ladees are ALWAYS changing your hair color!
Well as much as I'd like to, I CAN'T dye my hair.

*Hears a knock at the door.
UD: Ah, how defrightful, thank you miss Kathy.
*Receives Swedish christmas cookies and places them on the counter for later as Ed and Count went off to check something at the library.

Me: (opens the door) Jack! Hi! Welcome to our cozy apartment!

Jack: (walks inside and plops on my bed) Thanks a lot for letting me stay here. I hope you don't have rosebushes or I might have to leave sooner than later...

Ojo: It's okay, Jack. We have bones and plenty of food here!

Doc Hogg: Jack, my old friend! How are you?

Me: (gets my HP book collection and puts it in front of Jack) You, my hound dog friend, have a lot of reading to do!

Tutter: (gasps) A Harry Potter marathon!

Doc Hogg: Party? I'm in!

Me: (puts a sign outside my door "Harry Potter movie marathon party! Bring plenty of snacks and dress up if you want to! We'll start in about an hour. Showing movies 1-3 today! Will continue if this is a success!")

*Knocks at Apt 3's door, leaving a few oatmeal raisin 9 cookies hoping Beth grabs them quick.

*Ed places a snowflaky spiderweb on an eighth branch of the ornament tree while then hangs a mystic mirror shard on a lower seventh branch.

UD: Mmm, it's starting to look nice, what with the baubbles we've placed on it so far.

Hmm, let me see now, we've left the following:
