entering Apt. 2 Good afternoon one and all!
Rosita: Well you sure look happy!
And why not? The Bowzer concert was fabulous last night as usual!
Prairie: Did you go to see him after the concert was over?
Sure did! He was glad to see me! And get this...he asked how I've been feeling!
Grover:Have you been sick?
Well...I haven't Grover..well except for the usual stuff that happens .But remember when I was on the cruise and I told him about that song that eases my headaches?
Grover: Ohhh... NOW I remember!
Apparently so did Bowzer! He's so sweet! He hugged me before I left. sigh Ya know...I stil don't get it.He sees TONS and TONS of people and he STILL remembers my name and what we talked about on the cruise in February.

Everyone in the room is starting to look creeped out but I add one more thing before I start laughing.
Well he's a heck of a lot better than that accordion music you listen to!And ya know what,Chef?
Chef:Whut? (he looks like he's about to start cracking up too)

Meanwhile Prairie,Rosita,& Grover are staring at us as if we're certifiable enough for the nearest nuthouse! Finally Prairie finds the capability of speech

Rosita: Hey! You two should....
Chef: NU!

Rosita...Chef is a sweet friend. But that's all I feel towards him. Friendship. And I'll admit..he IS kind of like a brother. But that's as far as it goes, OK?
Rosita: But Luis and Maria started out as friends and they're married.
Awww Rosita...see that's the thing. They worked together & had the same interests. Chef and I have different interests but we can still be friends. Try to understand, all right?

glowing as stars pointing all possible ways.

Heralding the night's coming wealth.
Me: Two twined serpents,
Wound around a lifeline's immortal health.

One lit candle, floating in the air.

*Places the baby organ ornament as well.

UD: Mmm, another chapter of Kermie's Girl, I love it when the fics we enjoy get updated.
Me: Yeah, just hope maybe I can get a birthday wish from the authoress.

Prairie: Sure is! Where did you get it?
My mom had it since I was a kid. Actually not really a kid. More like a teenager. Anyway,she decided to give to me.
Rosita: I like it!
Robin:Yeah...me too. Do you still have that globe with all the lights that light up?
Sorry buddy,but no. It gave out on us last year. One of the wires developed a short and we decided to throw it away before it became a fire hazard.
Robin: Rats. It was pretty.
Can't argue with you there. I used to love looking at it when I was at my grandmother's house.
Chef calling from the kitchen: Hot choklit fur enyone thet wants it! Dere's marshmellows in it!
Robin: Ooh..I'm there!

Robin: Oops..oh yeah..my room.
Yeah..your room. tapping foot Robin you know that I don't expect much from you. After you finish your hot chocolate I want that room cleaned. And I want you to use some elbow grease.

Well at least you had the common decency to ask me what it was. Elbow grease means to put effort in it. Not just move things around and just give them a quick dusting.
Robin laughing a litle bit I remember when Uncle Kermit told Beauregard to use elbow grease and Beau said he couldn't find any.So he used axle grease and poor Uncle Kermit went sliding down the stairs. Boy..did Uncle Kermit's butt hurt for a while after that.stops laughing On second thought..not so funny. Okay Mom...after I'm done I'll give my room a good cleaning.

on my way to bed, I see that the light in Robin's room is still on. Thinking he fell asleep reading ,I go in and he's wide awake watching TV!
Robin!half whispering Do you know what time it is, young frog?
Robin: Aw,I'm sorry Mom.I know it's late. But I don't have school tomorrow,so I figured you'd let me stay up.
rubbing my forehead before I lose my cool Robin...from now on..you ask me if you can stay up late. 9 year olds don't usually stay up this late. What are you watching so late at night anyway?
Robin pressing "Play" on the DVD remote : "Muppet Family Christmas" It's almost over and I was gonna go to sleep right after. I promise. tears well up in his little eyes
Naturally I feel about 3 inches tall. I never mean to upset Robin.Okay. You've seen this. In fact you've been in this. And it's very late. So how's about you and me watch this together tomorrow morning okay?
Robin: Are you still angry?
No. But from now on you ask my permission to stay up late.Do you understand? The next time you don't ask my permission to stay up late, you go to bed an hour earlier and no TV during that time. Got it?
Robin nods and hugs me Thank you Mom. I love you around the whole universe and back again!

Oh Rosita..it was my pleasure! I could just kick myself for missing your birthday though!
Rosita *dismissing it with her hand* Don't worry about it. You have been through a lot this year! The last thing you needed to think about is birthdays!

Rosita: Good! I think they put one too many jalapeño peppers in there taking a sip of water But I'm fine. How's your bean burrito?
Tasty! I love bean burritos! But I think asking Chef to make them from scratch wouldn't be very smart. Do you remember when he made chili?
Rosita: Do I?! I don't think my mouth will ever forgive me!Ay yi yi!! fanning her mouth with the memory

The kitchen in Apartment 2 is abuzz with cookie making . Chef is normally picky about who cooks in the kitchen,but as long as whoever bakes or cooks cleans up their mess, he's happy. Besides, he's baking too! He's making meringues.I myself wanted to try to make them but Chef said that it's tough to make them. He said "One rup uv egg yook und yu wind oop with stiff mureengs!" So I decided to make my Chinese noodle cookies. Chocolate chips and butterscotch chips are melting on the stove. Meanwhile Prairie is showing Robin how to make spritz cookies. The radio is blasting with Christmas music. As I switch off the stove ,I smile to myself ,thankful for a "family" like this (Grover & Rosita are doing last minute Christmas shopping, but of course I'm grateful for them too.)
