Live at Vegas:

Johnny Fiama: Ladies, an' gentlemen... I dedicate this song ta the lovely, and talented late Whitney Houston. This is for you, Queen of Pop... this is your moment... *whimper* ... *ahem*

Each day I live
I want to be
A day to give
The best of me
I'm only one
But not alone
My finest day
Is yet unknown

I broke my heart
Fought every gain
To taste the sweet
I face the pain
I rise and fall
Yet through it all
This much remains

I want one moment in time
When I'm more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams are a heartbeat away
And the answers are all up to me
Give me one moment in time
When I'm racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will feel
I will feel eternity

I've lived to be
The very best
I want it all
No time for less
I've laid the plans
Now lay the chance
Here in my hands

Give me one moment in time
When I'm more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams are a heartbeat away
And the answers are all up to me
Give me one moment in time
When I'm racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will feel
I will feel eternity

You're a winner for a lifetime
If you seize that one moment in time
Make it shine

Give me one moment in time
When I'm more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams are a heartbeat away
And the answers are all up to me
Give me one moment in time
When I'm racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will be
I will be
I will be free
I will be
I will be free

... Rest in peace, Whitney. <3

Ellie: Hey, Ernie, wanna help me play the not-study game? *smiles wide*

Ernie: How do you play? It sounds fun!

Ellie: *giggles* We're already playing!

Ernie: *laughs*

Bert: *walks in* Ellie, don't you have a paper to write?

Ernie: But Bert, right now Ellie is playing the not-study game! I'm playing too !

Ellie: Let's all play! Susie, get out here!

Susie: *folding laundry in her room* But I can't just leave my laundry all unfolded!

Ellie: Sure you can! It'll just be the not-study and not-do-laundry game then!

Susie: *gulps* O-okay...

Bert: Ellie, wouldn't this be the 'not-typing a paper game'?

Ellie: Excuse me Mr. Technicality -_-

Ernie: *laughs*

Bert: Why do I bother?

Ellie: So much writing...Finally, over. *face-plants into keyboard*

Ernie: *laughs* Look Bert, Ellie is Don Music!

Bert: *laughs* I guess she is.

Susie: *back to folding laundry* Finally, some peace and...

Ellie: *hits random buttons on keyboard, the computer finds its way to a Rick Roll*

Susie: And not quiet -_-

Ellie: Sorry guys! *manages to pull away from keyboard and turns off the Rick Roll* Ahem.

Sure was nice getting that card from Kathy. I'm not much for cards though, guess it's the whole blindness thing. *Shrugs.
*Drops off a few heart cookies (half shortbread, half chocolate coating) at Apt 2. We went to a quick opthalmologist appointment this morning, then had lunch at the sub sandwich place, and finished up by doing the week's grocery shopping (had to pick up my medicinal eyedrops).
The cookies are iced with the recipient's names so noone stealer, takes one not meant for them by mistake. We'll hand out the others tomorrow.

Happy not-Valentine's Day.

Cotterpin: Wrench.

Wrench: Yes?

Cotterpin: No, WRENCH.

Wrench: Cotterpin, I'm right next to you.

Cotterpin (sighs): The TOOL, Bolt-head!

Wrench (sheepishly): Oh. *pauses* I thought we were fixing the ceiling.

Cotterpin: We could be, but tomorrow is that weird day where non-Doozers go on and on and ON about love and relationships. Pffbt! Who needs a hug when you can have a nice power drill?

Wrench: Did you know Kelly's looking at maps again?

Cotterpin (growls): YEAH, I know. She's so obsessed over going to that Florida place. I'm hoping I can keep her here at least until the last week of April.

Wrench: Why April?

Cotterpin (shrugs): Because she actually will be in Florida and she's not bringing the laptop. *scoffs* You can be such a dork.

Cotterpin (dusts off hands): It is done.

Wrench: It's awfully ... pink.

Cotterpin: You wouldn't believe how many ingredients went into this.

Wrench: Uh, you're the one who had ME mix them.

Cotterpin: Details, details. Still, a rotating Doozer tower with multiple side platforms and a couple of elevators ... plus those little Valentine heart thingies with the words on them being carted around a conveyer belt and up and down the elevators ... AND chocolate cupcakes that explode into a confetti shower of sprinkles and edible glitter ... yeah, I think the Townies will like this.

Wrench (nods): Let's hope it doesn't last the hour.

Cotterpin (nods): Yup. Means we can go fix that ceiling.

Wrench (sighs happily): Good times, good times....

Pinny, I sink you got some splaining to do!

Guess I'm not the only one who saw that I Love Lucy 60th anniversary tribute themed episode of Cupcake Wars this weekend.
UD: And what about the Chinese New Year episode?
We'll catch that when it repeats this weekend, trust me.

*The phantom hopes Disney might make a pin for the holiday with him, though he knows they'll probably go with Figment instead.

Glad you guys like 'em, thought I'd share with everyone here.
*Settles in for the night, hearing the dulcit bell of doom ringing in the distance at the tolling of the hour.
