Chapter 8

Kermit looked at the list of names that were typed up on the piece of paper. Several of the Muppets were trying out to take Scooter's place as the go-fer of the Muppet Show. No matter how many times Kermit kept on insisting that auditions weren't necessary, and that all they need to do is to write down or state their qualifications, they still wanted to try out anyway.

Kermit knew that from the list of people that he would have his work cut out for him. Pepe and Seymore signed up, and were probably gonna do their famous shtick. Rizzo, Sam the eagle, and Johnny Fiama even auditioned Neither one of them worked out.

After Wayne, Wanda, and Mary Louise were escorted off the stage, Miss Piggy came out."Oh Kermie, I've got the perfect two people to take over for Scooter", Piggy said. "Plus, like Scooter, they have connections." After kermit asked who "they" were, Piggy called for Andy and Randy. "Oh no, Piggy, I can't hire them. They're clumbsy, even more so then Beauregard.", kermit said nervously. "You can if you want to visit the swamp alive again frog!!!", Piggy threatened, "Besides, my brother Hammy wants them out of the house." "Ok, fine, I'll hire them", Kermit exclaimed. "Oh, thank you Mister Kermit', both Andy and Randy said as they knocked Kermit into a mop and bucket that Beauregard left behind earlier.

Chapter 9

That night the Muppets attempted to put on another show. Unfortunately things were nearly as bad as when Fozzie tried to plan the show while Kermit was ill. With Andy and Randy helping to plan the acts, it was worse. IOn fact the show was so bad that Statler and Waldorf weren't able to heckle Fozzie properly due to the mixed up awfulness of the show.

Kermit shook his head offstage as he watched Lewis Kazagger commentate on a 'Tea- ball" game in the middle of guest star Alfre Woodard's closing number. "This is terrible. How could I have allowed this to happen?", Kermit asked to himself. "Maybe it was when you hired Dumb and Dumber Pig to help plan the new show", said the coffee cup before getting up and heading back to the cantina.

Meanwhile in the complaining audience a mysterious cloaked presence was looking down at a piece of paper. It had a list of all current and previous Muppet Theater employees, and where they currently live. The presence already had crossed off mildred and Scooter's names and was now conteplatingly considering who to eliminate next. After the poor show tonight the killer had a pretty good idea who it was going to be.

Chapter 10

When the show was over with, Kermit called a meeting, telling everyone to be careful, and make sure they were with their buddies at all times. "Sure, as long as my buddy isn't Miss 'Swinee River' over there", Floyd said laughing. "Watch it Red Beard, or I'll do to you, what you did to poor little Foo Foo", was Miss Piggy's reply. "Alright, calm down everybody, if we're gonna make it through these rough times, we need to keep calm", Kermit said as he ended the meeting.

"Hurry up will ya? I wanna visit the Cheese-aria before it closes.", Rizzo said to his buddy Pepe, who was talking on the phone. "You go on Hokay? I've got a date tonight, and I don't want to stand her up, Hokay", Pepe said as he rung off from his latest sweetie. "Besides, she'll be my buddy, and I'll be her's if you know what I mean. Hehe", Pepe continued with a little smirk. "Fine, I guess, I'll have to ask Yolanda to come along See ya", Rizzo said, walking off.

Pepe headed down the road proud of himself. To think that a wrong number phone call that had come up during the show would lead to a date with a gorgeous supermodel. All of a sudden the phone rung again, Pepe answered it, and it was her again, "Change of plans, sweetie, turn around" came the sultry voice. Pepe did, only to have a knife slit his throat. No one knew about the murder until Rizzo came back home with his date only to find the gored body of Pepe hanging off a sword stuck in the wall outside the boarding house.
