It's okay. You can always watch them on YouTube and be able to get ideas for rewriting that chapter to include Hey Cinderella, Santa Claus Switch, Frog Prince and Bremen.
Personally, I think the appearance of that Cars 2 billboard was nothing more than a mere coincidence and that it was just "there" and not anything done on purpose.
I can't see them putting two "specials" on one set.
When you think about, aside from the more obscure bits and pieces (like the old commercials/promos, the pitch reel, the Weezer music video, etc.), each of the first three season sets included only one classic Muppet special as a bonus...
Upon that very point being mentioned, I gotta say that makes Frank come across as a bit of a hypocrite in that regard, saying that the new film was "too cute" even though Muppets Take Manhattan, which he directed, had the "cute" Muppet Babies.
Personally, I think Muppets Go to the Movies could be on the Season 4 set, with Of Muppets and Men coming on Season 5.
If that's the case, I kinda think that it's a very likely reason for the hold-up on the release of Season 4--a LOT of copyrights to clear on that one. :p
People need to stop pestering Frank to come back to the Muppets.
He's not coming back to them, people! He's moved on! He is not the end-all be-all of the Muppets! Just because he's a Muppet-pioneer does not mean he's always right or knows the characters as well as some think he does! End of story.
"Baby, Now That I've Found You" (The Foundations), sung by one of the Lobsters, clinging to a female whatnot on the beach with its claws, with the Clams singing back-up. The whatnot tries to get the Lobster off of her as he sings.
I fully agree.
I also think that the new film was actually age well, just like the older Muppet films. MWoZ, on the other hand, is not aging well and probably won't.
Actually, they have. Watch things like the viral or Disney XD videos (Bohemian Rhapsody, Stand By Me, etc.)--those things heavily feature classic Muppet-style eatings, explosions, violence, etc.
That does not mean Frank is always right!
And, no, the Muppets were not "cute" in the new...
(sigh) If only someone here would get the hint and contact The Muppets Studio and/or talk to Lyelle Brier to find out the official reason for the hold-up, like they did during the two-year gap between the Season 1 and Season 2 sets! :(
I agree. Melissa's point on the whole "Typical Disney took the safe route" is completely moot.
The had to make the movie we got in order for the franchise to get relaunched.
Well, I will give you the fact that Disney wasn't sure about to how to handle them properly when the first acquired the franchise in the mid-2000's. However, things did start getting better for the Muppets as early as 2008, when they started producing those very fun and downright Muppety online...
Sorry, but it is true that anything else would've bombed. It's the truth and it's a reality that needs to be faced.
Plus, they so totally allowed the Muppets to be the Muppets in this film and the characters were very much in-character!
I'm sorry, but I think you're only saying that because Mr. Oz said what he said and only because he was a "Muppet pioneer". And just because he was such does not mean he's always right!
As Oscar the Grouch would say, "Ding-Dong! You're wrong!"
Disney has been doing a great job with the Muppets--they're in a MUCH better place than they were a few years ago.
