I would love to go in October, considering that I hear it isn't so crowded and the heat isn't as intense, but alas, I suffer from "poor college student syndrome". ;) It doesn't look like I'll be able to go any time soon.
Gonzo: "Not to mention that I like my women biggy... Miss Piggy!"
Sorry, just had to add that one on. :o Miss Piggy is going to come after me and karate chop me in my sleep, I just know it.
I enjoyed this show. Though I will admit, I almost decided not to listen to this just because I knew it would make me want to go to Disney World again. And I do.
Gonzo defiantly has a thing for barnyard animals... Pigs, cows, and chickens, just to name a few things that have been touched upon.
I'm not sure how I feel about this pairing. Though there was usually more of a spark between Gonzo and Piggy than there was between Kermit and Piggy in Muppet...
Mmm... Old threads.
I personally like Clifford. I don't think I liked him at first for taking the lead role on Muppet's Tonight, but I have grown to accept it and say "You know, the Muppets needed that." It was okay to downplay Kermit as it was not long after Jim passed away. To have a Muppet...
Yes as were Hey Dude and Salute Your Shorts, if I remember correctly, but I watched these shows well before I was a teenager or a tweenager for that matter, so that's why I listed them. I guess that's wrong of me to do, but that's where my memory places them, I suppose.
I'm listening to the podcast now, and I just have to say, I laughed outloud when I heard your wife talking about the people in Georgia complaining about the weather. I do that alot. Also, it only takes about four and a half hours to drive to Orlando from Savannah. Sometimes more if traffic is bad.
I watched a ton of kid's shows when I was younger and it would be impossible for me to list them all.... But I'll try. (Not counting cartoons)
Under the Umbrella Tree
Dumbo's Circus
Welcome to Pooh Corner
Eureeka's Castle
Reading Rainbow
What Would You Do?
Double Dare
Wild and Crazy Kids
Nick...
I got it! As always, Pikachu is my favorite. Though I've been using Toon Link, Link, and Pokemon Trainer (Squirtle) quite a bit as well.
It's a great game. It's such a pity I won't be able to play it very much more, at least for the next several weeks, after today.
I remember Easter Egg Mornin'. I used to watch that one all the time.
Here Comes Peter Cottontail is my favorite though. I thought it had a charming premise.
I don't really remember any other Easter cartoons at the moment. :(
I now really want to go to Disney World and go on one of those backstage tours! My family seems to go soo often (Once a year, lately) that it seems like we've seen everything. (It's impossible to see EVERYTHING, but you know what I mean) It just seems like those tours would be a different...
I always thought it was fun that she was the same VA for Ash from Pokemon and Amelia from the Slayers. They look alike... because of the hair mainly. Amelia sounded like Ash's mom however.
Favorite Pokemon
1. Meowth - I love Meowth. On Diamond, I have a level 87 Meowth that picks up Rare Candies and things all the time
2. Ralts line - The whole Ralts evolutionary line is a must have for me on Ruby and Saphire. I always catch one at the beginning of the game.
3. Pikachu/Raichu -...
I don't really think Kermit is hyper. A bit out of character, yes, but I wouldn't call it hyper. I can't imagine Kermit being hyper.
As for Kermit's newest impersonation... Was anyone else reminded of Pong?
I have to admit, I loved Tiny Toons as a kid. I haven't seen it in a while, but I have a feeling it wouldn't be a show that would age well. It did pave the way for Animaniacs, which I think was a great show... Entertaining cartoony fun and catchy (sometimes educational) musical numbers.
A Pup...
I really enjoyed the show as always. This week, it was a strange reminder in that some parts of the US, it's still winter.
I enjoyed the Kevin Clash interview. It's really interesting that he wanted to be an animator as a youngster. Something I wish you two could have discussed was the...
