I enjoyed the Dark Crystal review. I think I'm in that category above merely liking the movie, but not quite to the level of love. It's a fantastic movie though.
The more I think about it, the more I really wish I could enter the contest. It would be fun to make a comic for the podcast...
I agree with that, and though I don't think it worked the same way that the Muppet Show did, I have deep respect for way Jim Henson was always trying to do new things. I don't think he wanted to repeat himself. I think that's admirable, even though it could have arguably been the Muppet brand's...
To each his own, but I love the Harry Belafonte numbers. Although I have never seen the full episode, I like to listen to "Turn The World Around" on a loop in youtube. And I can't wait to watch this episode on Season 3 when it is released!
Zero Mostel's "What Do The Simple Folk Do" is...
I heard about that... This truly seems like the end of an era. His work, as well as the work of the other Nine Old Men, will continue to be admired by generations to come.
Don't be embarassed over liking the Muppets and knowing about Jim Henson! Even if people think you're weird, at least it's the good kind of weird!
....... I'm horrible at saying these kind of things. :o
As a lifelong fan of both Disney and Muppets, I love Mickey and Kermit. Both for different reasons, but if you were to ask, which one seems closest related to his creator, I would defiantly have to say Kermit.
I know that Kermit isn't exactly the same as Jim Henson, but they had such...
After listening to that, I feel like it's group hug time. The last few minutes were really touching and the whole thing was great as usual. Not that I can remember I've ever been disappointed by the MuppetCast, ever, but that was a really nice show. I enjoyed the quotes from It's Not Easy...
What Boober and the other Fraggles don't understand is that the Doozers enjoy what they do. As much as a Fraggle loves to play, Doozers love to work. And though Boober works more than other Fraggles, he loves what he does and probably doesn't view it as work. Doozers on the other hand, though...
As much as I love Gonzo, I don't think I could see him in a hosting role, with or without Rizzo. Yes, I can see Gonzo with a lot of responsibility, especially considering how he has "matured" over the years, but as a host?
Though I love Gonzo and would personally love a project that featured...
Maybe they had a day job? Maybe they didn't care about Gonzo? Maybe they went to the corner store to grab milk? Maybe their weren't enough puppeteers to perfrom them?
It really looked like, after breakfast, everyone spread out and went their differeny ways. Maybe some of them did have jobs or...
I agree. I can't see this working at all
I really just think that being emo is silly. The term "emo" has become a bit of a parody. And to have characters that are actually designed to be "emo" is extremely laughable and pathetic. The last thing we need is a movie that kids are going to see...
You didn't happen to read that around the first of April, did you? Cause it sounds like an April Fool's joke to me. ;) I don't know why anything would purposly promote emo characters without it being some kind of joke.
Okay, this looks quite better than the last one. The whole cast looks really cute. I'm not sure about the pink kid (Gerald?) though. He looks a bit odd. The reason mainly being that he looks off balanced in the group shot.
