Lol, thank you for the inspiration.
I ask that you make sure to check both "Project: Snowth" thread here, and my site/blog for updates, as I always make sure to include photos of completed puppets when they're finished.
I LOVED the way the set looked in the 80s, but then of course, as a lil' one, that was the era I came to really identify, thanks to those My Sesame Street Home Videos.
And I think just about everyone here would agree that you're right -- I think all things considered, the arbor area has...
I never understood why my mom always insisted on keeping the 3-D glasses whenever we see movies, even though the theater staff always tells us to recycle them when we're through... but I guess it's a good thing she did keep all those pairs, because I took initiative from Charlie and used a pair...
You know what I'd like to see one day, but doubt I ever will?
I walk into a DVD store, be it Best Buy, Sam Goody, fye, rental places, etc... and I see a separate section all its own for puppetry (including Muppets), just like how anime has its own section in DVD stores.
Is there an option where we can remove the Facebook module from the bottom of the forum index? Between the ads, MC Radio banners, and now this, it's just making the forum far too cluttered for my taste, but that could be just me.
I REALLY, and I mean R-E-A-L-L-Y need to get my ambition back... that's my main problem right now, I have no ambition anymore; there's been one roadblock after another along the way, and another thing that's hurt has been tied-up finances... there's been times where we were so poor these past...
It'd have to be a really tight ship; we tried something like that a few years ago with a "talent show", but submissions and such were getting lost, people were forgetting who submitted what, etc.
Hmm... for hosting duties, we need someone with gusto, someone knowledgable in all things not only Muppets, but MC as well, someone with a sense of humor that'll keep us laughing throughout the ceremony, someone who could use a little more involvement in the community...
For hosting duties, I...
There WAS going to be a new show; there apparently was even a pilot that was filmed/taped back in what... 2006? It was supposed to be like the Muppets' answer to The Office...
BUT, true to fashion, Disney shelved it.
Television isn't going anywhere, it just needs to be saved by people who actually have the talent and dedication to show something worthwhile on it... the reason why it's so unpopular right now, is because there's nothing actually on TV that people WANT to watch, between the countless reality...
Personally, I never understood the appeal of Steve Carell, anything he does that's live action, his performance is always stiff and wooden, and the way he delivers his lines are so blank and deadpan... yet, whenever he does voice work, he's just the opposite, he seems a lot more energetic and...
Hmm, not quite what I was aiming for, as far as the shape of the frames go, but that sounds like an ingenius method... yes, please do, I'd like to see exactly what you were able to come up with.
Lol, never been to Build-A-Bear, but yeah, there's a Hobby Lobby in town, not sure how that would...
I'm just curious, aside from plastic, which I don't believe I would be able to obtain, what sort of material would make for a good pair of glasses for a puppet?
Considering that the glasses and the eyes would all be one piece (ala similar to glasses with eyes painted on the lenses)?
For...
One thing that might help, I'm not exactly sure how these sort of things work, but I think indepently might allow you more creative control over your own projects. That's why a lot of people and companies survive in the long run is independence; that way, you retain the rights to your own work...
Network executives are almost always scared of a new show if it's "different". One thing that lacks with execs today is a trust level; getting back to Sid & Marty Krofft, Marty said in an interview once that the reason they were able to sell their shows like they did was because the network...
Kind of like how people who advocate a certain cause almost always is someone who was in the troubling situation, and has turned his or her life around, thus speaks from experience, yet people say Bristol Palin shouldn't be an advocate for abstinence because she was fooling around when she...
