Okay, now here's a really disturbing commercial I saw a while back...
A group of ladies were throwing their friend a birthday party, and one of them gave her what was to be an absolutely wonderful, and fantastic present: a vibrator.
No kidding, and this wasn't a video on YouTube I saw...
The problem with first-run syndication is that often times, it's hard for the show to develop a following, because different channels air the show at different times (the whole "check your local listings" thing), and sometimes, they'll air them at whenever they don't already have programs...
I get what you're saying... there's no real chemistry that's developed between Elmo and Abby, and that can happen sometimes between characters or performers, like you said, they work well off of each other, but not together.
But the greatest Elmo/Abby moment I've EVER seen was their...
I'm telling you guys, after all these years and all these episodes, they have just SERIOUSLY run out of ideas!
I haven't seen any of the new episodes, but I've read synopsises, and gimme a break. "Francine and Muffy make a movie to right the wrong of lack of cool female characters"...
That would make more sense, considering, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, that Caroll Spinney likened Elmo to the new little brother that you have to share the love and attention with.
Aww, lol.
But you know something? That's actually a good little (and very subtle) message to kids right there: it's okay for boys and girls to be best friends; I think that each generation of kid (particularly the 90s when Zoe was introduced) likes to make fun of kids whose best friends are...
Kimp the Shrimp has always been notorious for taken extended leaves of absence... then will return unexpectedly with a world newsflash: "OMG! CAN YOU BELIEVE KIMP THE SHRIMP IS BACK? ! ?" Everytime.
My VISION, LOL!
I had my first eye exam in two years today... you know how normal/perfect vision is 20/20? You know what MY vision is? -650/-550. :search:
Now then... will that pret-ty lit-tle girl take to Billy Bones, that snivelling chowder head? Ugh! Watch where you're going you...
You're right Gordon.
I've noticed the throw pillows seem to come and go in fad cycles, though unfortunately, they're not always a nice shaggy fur (though they are sometimes, which is good), as other times, they're more like fine hairy material.
When I turned on the TV this morning, the first thing that came on was a commercial for some kind of psoriasis treatment/ointment/topic cream/something to that nature...
And the girl they were talking to at the moment was getting absolutely all emotional about having to deal with psoriasis...
Onthe subject on cheapquels, those are quite a staple in the cheap, off-brand CGI movie scene.
A lot of these movies that most have never even heard of, and just as many who do know don't care, get new cheapquels without warning. Like Open Season 3 (when was there ever a number two, and did...
Band-aid has a new commercial out with an entire cast of bright, colorful puppets singing a new jingle for the product (not the usual "I'm stuck on Band-aid brand, and Band-aid's stuck on me").
The puppets are quite excellent looking, in both design and construction, but the commercial seems...
Outside the TKO cas too, lol.
I haven't seen, nor heard from the likes of Caroline, Faylo, superfan, anythingmuppet, Dan-Dan the Strawberry Man, or others in quite a while.
Awww... please, no!
Tony Geiss wrote a LOT of absolutely wonderful stories AND songs for the Street. :(
Not only that, but outside of SST, he and fellow SST writer Judy Freudberg also wrote the screenplays for a lot of great Don Bluth movies, like the original American Tail and Land Before...
I remember that special too; but both had quite a few striking similarities... basically, the entire concepts for both were TOO similar: going back in time to correct history. Not only their, both of their introduction episodes more-or-less involved the adoptions of Sherman and Otto...
