Well, I've previously heard that the actor who played Gordon's father in the recent ep about Miles' band was Carl Gordon. I'm not sure if he played the character in an earlier ep or not.
Alright, it's the old Barkley closing. I'm trying to get that one up now. I guess the best thing to do is play it through once because it keeps pausing in the middle. Then after that's done, it should play the right way. That worked with the clip of the Mad TV parody.
That makes sense. My aunt's a school superintendent and she spends a lot of time in the office. She is retiring this year though. Maybe Loretta's in the same boat and might be on the show more when she has time off from her job. That's always possible.
Oh, okay. I can't help you there. I guess the inserts with Mumford were from the 70s, but I don't know if he had any street scenes around that time. The one Mike mentioned I don't remember, so I don't know what year that would have been. It could have been before I was born. I'm not sure...
Yeah, Telly seems to have changed over the years. He used to be known for a worry-wart. Mainly the stuff he worried about stemmed from stuff Oscar told him, especially, in the New Year's special.
The funny thing is now on the show Telly's treated more like a newer character like Zoe and...
It's alright. You weren't demeaning her or anything. I sort of agree with what you said. A lot of actors aren't in the best health when they reach a certain age and aren't always able to continue their role. In fact, that's even the case with Jerry Nelson. It's sad, but there isn't much we...
I think you made a typo there. Most of the eps you mentioned were from the 80s, not the 70s.
Yes I remember him making Gordon a grouch and having Maria and the duck swith bodies and I definately remember the one about the root beer float. I also remember him giving David a long nose.
The...
Yeah. I could see Roscoe Orman having the same problem of not being able to explain it if Loretta left. Also, in response to AAO's post, I have heard about Sesame Workshop not wanting to do a divorce ep. That's why I said that they wouldn't do that and I'm sure they wouldn't do another ep...
Well, I wasn't trying to put Susan down or anything. I guess I had that thought because I have seen situations where a character slowly fades away from the show and all of a sudden they're gone for good. Still I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong impression. Susan is a really great character and...
That is strange. I've noticed that too. My guess is that Loretta Long is busy with other projects. I remember seeing a lot of both Susan and Gordon in the 80s. Now Gordon's still very active on the show. After all, there were two different actors playing Gordon before Roscoe Orman, but...
Yeah, that would probably be a continuity error considering Miles should be older than Gabby, so they wouldn't have started kindergarten at the same time.
That was really good, Renee. Sure the quality wasn't the greatest, but I enjoyed seeing it. I've wanted to see how it went ever since I heard about it, so now I can sleep at night. Lol.
Of course, Marty's characters were previously performed by others and they still had the team of Telly and Oscar and Big Bird and Snuffy, so it could be just a coincedence.
I'd have to feel sorry for Bert, because I had roommates in college who would keep me awake at night, so I know the feeling.
I see what you're saying. After all, seasons 34 is similar to season 36 minus the happy/healthy openings and Trash Gordon. Season 33 was pretty different, but still I don't think it would hurt to air those earlier eps. And how about season 35? I understand that they probably didn't play...
