    New puppet on e-bay

Well I hope they're better than some of the UK ones on ebay at the moment. LabRat excluded the ebay uk puppets at the mo are fairly dire. I'm always amused to see them described as professional puppets!

    Muppeteers on MC

You'd be surprised. Mike Quinn, for example, often posts quite openly, as has Karen Prell and others.

    pining a puppets hand

If you can find some T Pins they really are useful. The cross bar at the top (the T shaped bit) stops spreads the load across a much larger area than a safety pin, so if pulled hard it shouldn't rip the fleece/foam.

    New puppet on e-bay

I certainly wouldn't want to send anything to the states for less than £20.

    pining a puppets hand

The Fraggle Rock puppet riggers (so presumably other Henson shows as well) used T Pins rather than safety pins.

    What can damage a Muppet?

Because of course they have only ever had one Piggy puppet haven't they?!

Where can I get the materials??

It's certainly worth a trip. They sell scott foam cut to the thickness that you require, and various rubbers useful for mouthplates, and plastizote which I have used on occasions. http://www.pentonvillerubber.co.uk/ Best, James

Where can I get the materials??

Whenever I need scott/reticulated foam I've always used Pentonville Rubber Co, on Pentonville Road, about five minutes walk from Kings Cross Station, N. London.

I found some bits excellent, others very dissapointing. I really don't expect to see Muppeteers' heads in shot for instance! It was ropey to say the least.
