Both Russia and the Czech Republic have completley different attidudes to puppetry from the people of the UK and the USA it is seen as a much more mainstream artform. An artform worthy of government support and funding.

A good performance by Louise Gold this evening as the Queen from Spitting Image, though vocally sounding much closer to Louise's own voice than she has in the past. Though interesting to see that Fluck and Law weren't involved in the programme.
The Fraggles also all had removable arm rods. It does make sense, especially for TV work where you may jusy want to pin an arm into place for some shots.
Why use the Muppets though? Couldn't you use another character, one of your own, and write words to an original, or non puppet related score?
