And, for purely non-selfish reasons that certainly have nothing to do with my own personal preferences for characters that may receive the poser treatment, I'd like to direct your attention to the poll at the top of this thread and see who is the...
Yeah, it's probably the closest, but it's still pretty off in my opinion. The eye/nose/mouth positioning were a bit off and that threw the whole look for me - it was a very good representation of the illustrated Fozzie, not such a great copy of the puppet.
It's mildly comforting to hear Fozzie hasn't been completely dismissed, and very disturbing to hear that he's so far off as to be considered on life support. You'll probably have my support with Miss Piggy. But for anything else, you'll need to offer Fozzie.
I *MIGHT* go for the Pig. Beyond that I'm not interested until Fozzie is slated for release. Really disappointed that such a key character has been shelved yet again - there are absolutely no good representations of him at all out there (Palisades stuff included). Rizzo and Pepe will be...
OWE has said it's not Fozzie and I think he's also clued in one what is happening. Frankly I hate this, since I'm not sure that any company will be able to make this last beyond one poser, which means yet again there will be no Fozzie :(
Yes, but as others have mentioned the likeness was not spot-on. 1-to-1 replicas are also much more the exception rather than the rule for them. Also Sideshow's quality control is not great, they have no experience making this sort of product. In short, I'd be sad to see them get this, because I...
I'd be surprised if it was Sideshow - their core business is very much statues rather than prop replicas. I'm afraid, though, that any new company to pick up the license will re-release Kermit, sales won't be fantastic (because, let's face it, a lot of us already have him) and Fozzie will again...
It would be a financial burden, but if Fozzie at $3000 was the only way to get him, then I'd do it. True, you could probably commission one for less than that, but the only people who actually have the skills to make one that looks accurate wouldn't do it at any price.
I agree - I just don't see where the difficulty in getting this right falls. Use either molded foam (like Gonzo's nose) or even a vac-formed hard plastic to create the top head shape. If the hard plastic route was taken they could even include tabs onto which eyes, nose, etc are attached to...
I just wish I could find someone from whom I could commission a puppet foam and fleece pattern for a man with a very specifically shaped pointed head (contracts signed to stipulate that this pattern would be for my personal use only and no commercial copies made, of course). I'd love to...
Can't say I'm surprised. Disappointed, but not surprised. Now I just dislike Animal even more for taking up a slot that should have been filled by Fozzie. I doubt so much that he will ever be made now - I think Master Replicas will be interested in these polls, but not do much about them. After...
I'm wondering what the statute of limitations is on the phrase "no news is good news". Based on Fozzie not being on any preliminary 2009 release calendars, I think we're outta luck.
I'm not surprised at the news that the bear has been delayed, and I worry that changes within the company, the economy and the collectibles market might mean we won't see him make it to retail.
It sounds so stupid to be upset by something as trivial as this, but I've had so much bad news in...
Awesome - and it's recent info (27 May) too! Thanks MC - I don't bother visiting the MR boards any more, the information always seemed more in depth here and the few times I did go there it seemed really quiet. I guess the silence in this forum has had me worried...
I think you might be...
I just want to hear something, anything from Master Replicas about when we can expect an official pre-order date, or (heaven forbid!) an expected release date.
I got all excited for a minute there thinking something official had been announced. If you look at the page they list it as weighing one pound and coming with a display stand, neither of which are true. Can we change the title of the thread to something like "Order Muppet Replicas with free...
