David, I recently bought Arrested Development on DVD, and I love it! Will Arnett is great in it. The character he plays is such a great blend of a jerk and an idiot. I would love to see him as a Muppet villain. As an Arrested Development fan, I could also kind of see Jason Bateman as a bad guy...
We have a thread for the cameos we'd like to see in the new Muppet movie. There was also a discussion about the rumor of Angelina Jolie "starring" in the new Muppet movie, some stating that it would be interesting to see her play the villain. So, I think it's only fitting that we discuss the...
I think I'd like to see pretty much anyone from The Office working with the Muppets. In particular, Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer and/or Rainn Wilson (Dwight). I only pick them out of that cast they've actually been in movies, and I think they usually stick to movie stars for movie cameos. Not...
Could be done easier than this, but...
Hugh Jackman was in X-Men 3 with Kelsey Grammer
Kelsey Grammer was in Frasier with David Hyde-Pierce
David Hyde-Pierce was in Spamalot with Tim Curry
Tim Curry was in Muppet Treasure Island with Kermit the Frog
Rainn Wilson
Dennis Price was in School for Scoundrels with Terry Thomas
Terry Thomas was in Robin Hood with Peter Ustinov and Roger Miller
Peter Ustinov and Roger Miller were both guest stars on The Muppet Show with Kermit the Frog
Jerry Lewis without using It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World or The King...
Everyone keeps saying this, and I agree, to a point. Zach Efron's okay. He's done more than High School Musical. I'm not saying I'd love to see him in a Muppet movie, but he wouldn't be the worst choice.
Choose: Harrison Ford. He is actually a very funny person, and I think he'd be kind of...
I can see that. Maybe Sam just got so fed up with the Muppets, he went to work for The Colbert Report, and gets just as frustrated with them. Or maybe thinking that Colbert's just playing it straight through the whole thing.
She's so scary, though! :scary: ... :p
I don't think this should be in a movie, but I would love to see Sam Eagle go on The Colbert Report because I think he and Stephen Colbert would get along very well. :attitude:
I agree with all of your list (to a degree), except those highlighted. I don't really like Cameron Diaz, she's a little overrated, personally. I like Emeril, but unless the cameo was done right, it would just seem tacky to me. Maybe if he and the chef were on a television somewhere, sort of like...
Yeah, I always thought he'd be perfect for the part (if said part were to exist). I started on a story quite a while ago that would have been a Kermit, Fozzie and Gonzo story. At one point, toward the beginning, Fozzie needs to see his uncle about something. I can't remember what it was, but, I...
Well, I don't think you could say he was the "inspiration" for Kermit the Frog, possible where the name comes from, but...
Anyway, it is sad to hear that he's passed away.
The Dick Van Dyke Show only did one, and it was the "series finale". According to the DVD commentary, I believe Dick Van Dyke and Carl Reiner both consider "The Gunslinger" to be the last episode (according to the production order, it is), but the clip show just sorta wrapped the series up. And...
Skip: Any Sports or Reality Television "Stars". Maybe it's because I'm not fond of either televised sports or reality television, but I just find cameos like that so tacky!
We saw the introduction of two characters named "Lew" (or "Lou"), both in the same episode, and both performed by Jerry Nelson!
Lew Zeland and Louis Kazagger both made their debut in the same episode.
Bill Barretta also performed Lew Zeland in It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie. Unfortunately, Lew Zealand's regular performer, Jerry Nelson, was sick during filming, so Bill Barretta filled in.
That makes it all the more relevant. Remember, a newspaper headline helped inspire the original series creation. The fact that the U.S. is in the middle of a war makes Fraggle Rock that much more necessary, to show how people can live in peace.
:smirk: :coy: <--- peace-loving Fraggles...
