I love Drew Struzan's work. It's really fantastic (he also did numerous Star Wars posters and book covers, as well as some Indiana Jones stuff, including the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull poster).
But this desktop pattern is sensational! I like it alot.
There's a fine line with that, I think. Often times, characters a person creates will be based on a personality flaw. After all, we can draw comedy from our flaws. But it's more difficult to do that with a female character without accidentally offending someone.
Frank Oz always spoke about having to get in touch with his feminine side when performing Miss Piggy. You really have to dig down deep for female characters (when you're male, anyway). Sue's advice is extremely important when developing female characters, especially if you want her to be more...
Well, they would be playing themselves, just themselves if they happened to be in a western or samurai setting. Kind of like they played themselves in the "caper" setting as "investigative reporters". It's not a storybook film, it's a genre! :)
He seemed to deliver the line the way any celebrity would if they were seen by their fans while out shopping. Kind of, "I'm normal, you don't have to stare at me." At least, that's what I thought of it.
Yeah, personally, I consider myself an amateur puppet builder, which is why I hesitate on doing any actual business with it. I've had people tell me I do some really nice work with the puppets I build, but I'm still not up on everything. I don't sell any because my work's not yet up to my own...
Seriously, though, I would love to see a Muppet western! I think that'd be so cool. If the Muppets were playing themselves in a western setting, it could work. I don't think I'd like to see it as a feature, but as an hour-long TV special, it'd be really fun!
I think I hear my next fan fiction...

Empty your PM box, dude. ;) Or, PM me.
Anyhooooo, since I don't want to waste a good thread just yelling at someone to empty their PM box, here's a good ol' fashioned discussion about Beauregard (man or Muppet). Enjoy! :super:
If I saw someone make a knock-off of something I worked so hard on, I'd be very upset. I sort of experienced something like that a while ago, but my puppets were likenesses of someone else anyway, so it really didn't matter. It was just kind of upsetting to see my parody idea taken from me...
I was asked to make a Kermit once, but flat-out refused. It's not that I wouldn't love to make one, but I agree, it's someone else's hard work. It's another person's art, and to cash in on that would just seem wrong to me. It is illegal, but even if you were never "caught" doing it, I'd just...
I agree with that completely. I don't believe in going for the cheap laughs, and I don't want people to laugh at what I'm doing because of any shock value. It takes real talent to be funny without it. You appeal to a wider audience if you can be funny without the use of raunchy humor, and that...
I agree with that. I buy the sets so I can finally SEE The Muppet Show. Special Features are just a nice little addition. If it was just the episodes and no special features, I'd still buy the set. I just wish some other extras could be on there as well.
The Muppet Morsels were collected by Jerry Juhl and Dave Goelz, so I really don't think we're going to see them again. I liked them, but they really weren't my favorite part of the set.
My only request is that the last two seasons have as much care (if not more) put into them as the Dinosaurs...
Thanks!

I thought Billy Bunny was right after the Jim Henson special. Steve Whitmire always says that The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson was his first performance of Kermit, but Kermit's in the Billy Bunny tape, isn't he?
