Agreed! I wasn't too excited about it at first, but those pictures look great! Love the casting, except for the fact that Elmo is practically in a dual role. I like his being cast as the "white" rabbit, but I wish they could have used a different character for the March Hare. Like maybe that...
I love this idea! I haven't been able to get any of the Master Replicas yet, but I think I would deffinitely have to save up for a Reporter Kermit.
I would really love to have Kermit, Gonzo, and Fozzie, if none of the others. I was hoping to dress them in their costumes from The Great Muppet...
They didn't really have an entire script at all during that, though, did they? At least it worked out for the film
I think it's usually better to have a complete script, and then do rewrites during the filming as it progresses. Bowfinger was like that. Steve Martin was constantly doing...
From what I remember of The Cube, I think it could be done. It's been a while since I've seen it. I'm going to have to get it from someone sometime. I want to see it again and give some thought on how it could be done...
Yeah. Yeah, it does seem more like stop-motion animation, even in the way it's used within movies today (creatures and stuff). Alot of the Star Wars animators cited Ray Harryhausen as an influence.
Steve Whitmire performs the voice of Link on the "Muppet Party Cruise" video game. He might do him in some other games, too, but I'm not sure.
While it's great news that the first draft is in, I'm sure even Jason Segel's not one-hundred percent ready to say that this is the script that...
Clifford was around before Jim Henson died. He was in The Jim Henson Hour and The Muppets at Walt Disney World.
But I agree, Beauregard should come back.
Steve Whitmire does a really good job with Link Hogthrob (and the Newsman), so I hope Link is in it. I hope the Newsman gets a small part, too. I hope all of the Muppets get a part in it!
Paul Williams? He wants to get Paul Williams?
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool!
*faints and dies*
He wrote temporary songs. He wrote temporary songs! That's awesome!
The point was that with CGI, you're manipulating an inanimate model. With traditional animation, you draw something new each frame, but with computer graphics, you're usually using the same model for the whole thing. The same with a puppet. It's an inanimate object being manipulated by it's...
On a side note, technically, CGI is a form of puppetry. The Puppeteers of America had an article in their Puppetry Journal a few years back noting why that is. It is an intruiging form of puppetry, which, again, is why I say I like to see a blend of both CGI and animatronics (when the situation...
Doesn't the New York Creature Shop primarily just do what the old Muppet Workshop did? I seem to recall reading that somewhere. Maybe not.
The animatronics built for Revenge of the Sith and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy were really incredible! I'm really not sure why things supposedly look...
Yeah, the last good Muppet movie box was the original Muppet Treasure Island DVD box. But even that was editted from the original poster (removed a bunch of pirate Muppets and Fozzie from it). I hope if they ever release 2-disc special editions of the movies, they have the Drew Struzan art on...
Ha ha! You know, I don't really think it was the intention to say women can't play female puppet characters (as I'm sure you realize). It's just more about how can men perform them well.
I actually know someone who was kind of upset to find out that Miss Piggy and Janice were both played by...
Perhaps with this new Muppet movie, it might pave the way for "pet projects" such as The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made. The work Jim and Jerry and Frank did on it must still be around. And Frank Oz was talking about reviving it back in 2000.
Perhaps I'll leave the remainder of my wishful...
Naw, I agree. I'm just saying it'd be kinda neat to see later on.
It's a shame Craig Shemin's Muppet Superhero Movie didn't happen when it would have been the right time for it. Though, if superhero movies keep happening, there's time for it after this one.
:)The Muppets do Shakespeare...
