    Contact cement

I would definately not use contact cement for this. Contact cement is great, but it's usually very permanent.

    Coloring Foam

Most people agree that some kind contact cement is best for gluing foam together, but you have to follow the proper safety precautions if you are going to use it (you can read comments about that here). I will only use Lepage premium contact cement personally, but a lot of puppet builders prefer...

    Coloring Foam

It is OK to just paint the foam (lots of puppet builders do that) but it will not last forever and some paints do create a chemical reaction that causes foam break down faster than normal. For best results use a water-based (acrylic) spray paint. It is usually best to apply several very light...

    ALF Star Arrested

Max Wright, who played father Willy Tanner on the 80s sitcom ALF was busted in California on DUI charges. He apparently ran over several mailboxes when he veered off the road. Some funny thoughts from the Image Comic Forum about this: - Do you think he called 10-10-220 for his one...

    Fun Fleece Facts (non-antron)

It always amazes me just how much information is available on the `net...here's a link to good guide to the different types of fleece available to make puppets with. I can't remember which thread it was, but someone asked me about this along time ago. *Note that this article does not discuss...

    The non-shiny fleece

There is actually a name for this process (most high-pile fabrics go through it). Darned if I can't remember it though. Oh, and Puppetplanet, do you kiss your hubby with that mouth? ;)

    Disney Needs Puppeteers in CA

Hi everyone! Now I know that some people here have particularly strong opinions about working for Disney (and some negative first hand experiences) but I thought I would post this anyways for any interested members: The Disneyland Resort Character department is casting puppeteers for the...

    The non-shiny fleece

I could have this wrong...but I do not believe there is much of difference between the two fabrics. I believe any difference in appearance is due to either the treatment the fabric has received or the lighting. Most professional puppets made from antron that I have seen up close tend to have...

    New Spiderman on MTV

I attended a panel discussion with Brian Michael Bendis (the writer of Ultimate Spiderman) over the weekend at the Canadian Comic Expo and he discussed the series. I believe he wrote the pilot and was a consultant on the first season. He had a lot of good things to say about the series. I...

    Antron Fleece Dye Methods?

I don't think so...mind you I am not an expert on this. I've found at home that I usually get better results dying smaller pieces as opposed to larger ones. I always do several tests before any actual dying.
