Whoo-hoo! This is absolutely fabulous...I am going to be in New York for meetings on the 15th so the timing is perfect. I was supposed to go down this weekend, but I am so glad it got changed. It would be great to meet some other MCers there.
Thanks for annoucing this Melissa!
This is a really neat topic. Every set is different, but generally puppeteers usually have to work together with camera people to ensure that their arms stay out of shot. When this happens, it can be for a variety of reasons (often it is not really the puppeteer's fault).
If the height of the...
OK, this isn't exactly new news, but I just found out about it and thought I would share. I just stumbled across a reference to this in an article on MSNBC's site - apparently the Jim Henson Company built the Pets.com sock puppet. Five identical versions of the puppet were actually made and are...
Something I've wondered about these two videos (I haven't seen either yet) is what do those people who have them think is missing? What could be improved upon? What do you think the videos didn't cover, or could have covered in more detail?
Oh and welcome to the community Phantom! Hopefully...
This is unfortunately a common problem with small puppetry companies on the net. They don't have the budget for a dedicated customer service problem so when they are away, busy or performing there is no one to answer the phone. I know I used to drive a few clients nuts because of this problem...
Hey like I said in the original post - I know some people have particularly strong opinions about Disney.
I really think from what I've heard about Disney - good and bad - that it's probably not the best working experience, but far from the worst. Truth is, if you want to be a really good...
:o Aw shucks, thanks.
Wait til I get the Web comic up on the site, then the actual episodes (4 -5 months) - they're the (eventual) point of the whole thing. Once that happens then we'll be rockin' :zany:
You may want to try searching the forum, as I know we have discussed this many, many times before.

It's open to anyone. We don't discriminate. :)
Oh - one thing I should have mentioned - for legal reasons you have build original characters, so copies of Cookie, Beaker, snerfs won't count. Sorry!!
He can't fix the economy, catch Osama or Sadam and now Big Bird is at the forefront of US foreign policy?
Scary thing is that Elmo can probably do a much better job. :sympathy:
I just wish we could get this in Canada. I haven't check yet, but I was hoping TVO, Treehouse or Family would pick up the show this season.
Are there any DVDs planned?
Hi all,
A little while ago Puppetplanet and I briefly discussed holding a friendly little online puppet building contest. I first suggested it more as a joke than anything else but there was some interest and the more I thought about it the more I liked the idea. So here's the deal, for the...
I would guess the segments are shot separately, so that probably has something to do with it. I also saw a street segment this year with the bird that I thought was Matt, but I could be wrong. Unfortunately I don't know what episode it was.
