That's a good point...the spreadsheet is intended to calculate your sale price, irregardless of whether you sell wholesale or retail so you need to add an extra % if you are selling through wholesalers or distributors.
I was thinking more in terms of the fact that your arm actually needs to sweat to release heat and preventing it from doing that on a regular basis may not be healthy.
You probably want Reticulated Foam. ProjectPuppet sells it online in small quantities. If you want larger quanities check for foam wholesalers in Ohio or if you click around the ProjectPuppet site they have the name of their supplier.
I believe the eyes on the Avenue Q puppets are vacuformed...
Hi everyone,
A made this up after the subject of pricing things came up in a thread at Puppets & Stuff...it's an excel spreadsheet that provides a method for pricing your work. Pricing is really tricky - as I'm sure most of the people who sell puppets here know - and a lot of artists don't...

Personally, I prefer using non-stretch materials because I find that the puppet's neck will often stretch over time if you use spandex (although this is really only an issue if the neck is independent of the body). Also, I like breathable materials like polyester jackuard mesh (it's often used...
I really love it, but it strikes me as a book that was editorially compromised. It's seemed to me like Carroll started out writing a biography and then they tried to turn it in to some kind of "life lesson" book. I think it's worth picking up just for Carroll's illustrations alone.

I saw the actual Thog as a kid in Toronto. I don't know how many pieces it was actually constructed in, but if memory serves the body was in two pieces, a lower body and then upper body/head. The seam was concealed by the shaggier fur you mentioned. I assume that the legs and feet were separate...
A company called Studio One makes a product called the XLR-BP-PRO3 that's really good. It has three XLR mic inputs and also inputs for standard 1/4" and 1/8" plugs if I remember correctly. It retails for somewhere between $200 - $250 US I think. If you do some Googling you should be able to find...
I have a couple of static starfields I can send you if you email me privately.
Also, there's also info about various non-computer methods of creating starfields here as well as the source code for a C program that generates starfields.
Although people come at it from different perspectives, I think that's what almost everyone agrees on.
My previous post wasn't meant to be argumentative, I really don't think anyone here has ever been deliberately discouraging.
