    Monkey puppet on e-bay

Nice! I love the orange fur. That's always difficult to find in Canada (don't even get me started about Mexico).

    Puppetry search engine

Jose Bolorino who runs the main Spanish-language puppetry site Titerenet has created a puppetry search engine. I tested it for a few minutes this morning and the results it delivers are really good so far. You can try it out in my blog -...

Plump and juicy round fingers and hands

How do you stablize the wire inside the hand if you're using wadding? Because that would be the big issue for me, I don't want the wire shifting over time as the puppet is used. Foam is a better way to go in my opinion, but I'm really interested to know how you do your hands. If you wanted to...

I think wadding is one of those Brit-terms you're going to have to explain to everyone Lab Rat. ;)

Bear Town: The Open Puppet Movie Project

A little more info... Well, the Bear Town web site is up and running again. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, what I really want to do is transform the project in to a collaboratively produced online project. This is a really large undertaking, the script is about 90 pages and requires a...

Plump and juicy round fingers and hands

Generally, stuffing does not work as well for hands as foam does. If you want chubby hands you should use thicker foam. 1-inch foam should do the trick. You can also pad it out by adding 1/4-inch on top of that. Sean J. has a method on this Puppet 101 blog, start reading from this post. I also...

Has any one made a ...

I sent you a couple diagrams that will help via email. Check my Guide To Puppet Building Resources for some links and info about mechs. There is also an old drawing of animal's eyebrow mech floating around, but I can't seem to find a link to it. I don't have a copy on the computer I'm using...

    Is Frank a sellout?

Something that should be remembered in this thread is that Frank Oz has never (to my knowledge) publicly commented on the scaling back of his activities with the Muppets except to say that there are scheduling difficulties. I believe anything beyond that is purely speculation.

    Puppet Job in Florida

There's quite a range in pay depending on your experience, where you work and who you work for. This is pretty typical for theme park work (you might make more if you had a show of your own you brought in to the park). I think the puppeteers at the Disney parks might make slightly less than...

'Wedge Method' Tutorial: The Tumbles P. Bear Project

Hi everyone, I know a few people have been asking for it, so I've finally put The Tumbles P. Bear Project back online. It's a multi-part article I wrote a few years ago about how I built one of the puppets for my Bear Town web series. It explains the wedge method of foam puppet construction as...
