I think I will get a bunch just to try out. I have a few fan puppet ideas that I can use the stuff on. And don't worry Kathy (Georgia Stage), I will be sure to give you feedback on how the antron was to work with.
I have them. They are a great addition to any puppet video/DVD collection. It is funny seeing things again through adult eyes. It really had that 80's look.
Hey TML,
Best of luck! Besides being a puppet builder and puppeteer I am also a elementary school teacher. Puppets are a great way to keep children's attention. I just used mine last week (I give them a few weeks to learn routines before introducing the puppets). It has always been an...
Hello Marky,
It was good seeing you as well. No I didn't stay for the cabaret this time. I heard that there were some pretty cool people there again this year.
I wonder if there are any other Muppet Central people who have been to the festival, or are thinking of going next year?
I...
Hi all,
I am very late in posting this, but I just did a write up about the Puppets Up! festival here in Ontario, CANADA. Anyone who is interested can read about it:HERE
Hi rtgentry,
I've never made a puppet demo before, but that being said here are my thoughts. Some basics that Kevin would most likely be looking for are things like:
1) Entrance (make sure your arm is not seen, give the puppet a nice natural bounce).
2) Find the centre of the...
I had a chance to visit the set this past summer. The show looks great. It is not for eveyone, but I am a fan already and I will be watching it for sure. I would like to post about it in my blog, but I am not sure if I am allowed to. But needless to say the detail of the sets and puppets was...
You are a serious master builder. And one of the most creative builders I know. I have always been a fan and I am even more so now. The list of things I like about each puppet would be almost endless. It is stuff like this that shows why you are one of my favourite builders ever.
Thanks for the input ravagefrackle. It would seem that the 14 oz is closer to the original fleece then. I like the old stuff too, I made sure to get some before they sold out.
Nicepuppets wes! Thanks for the pictures. How do you find the fleece at hiding seams? Do you feel it has too much...
Very cool! I didn't even realize it was the new stuff; which says a lot in itself. I am assuming it is the 12 oz fleece? Have you used the 14 oz, and if how did you find using it compared to the 12 oz?
I would seeem that way, which I like too. I have a sample of the fleece, but I would...
Hey all,
I was just curious if anyone has clear pictures of any recent puppets they have built using the "New Antron Fleece"? If anyone does could they please posts them in this thead?
I have a bunch of the old stuff, but I am curious about the look that is achieved with the new...
You are a class act renegade. The puppet looks super and the motivation for the build is nothing less than honourable (yes, that is the Canadian spelling). Wonderful.
Great pictures renegade. Thanks for posting them. Initially I haven't been very inerested in any of the replicas, but I am starting to get a bit more curious now.
Really? That's very cool if he is. I would be quite happy for Terry.
I love seeing all of the great stuff you come up with bezalel. I too am curious to see what people come up with. Great job to the builders I have seen so far.
It goes to show people how much of a difference really good puppets can make to a production. Ideally there is a balance between all areas; puppet design, build, puppeteering/performance and script/production. Great job bezalel! Your puppets alone have done a lot for the quality of the BMB...
