    The RHLC!

It was the Don Knotts episode, here's what the Muppet Central guide said, http://www.muppetcentral.com/guides/episodes/tms/season2/25_knotts.shtml

    The RHLC!

Yeah, I saw the episode where Richard did Janice for the first time (forget which one it was), her voice was more like a standard female voice he had used for other characters, none of the "fer sure" stuff. Interesting to notice these things. :flirt:

Maybe it was just handed off to him. Muppet Central's guide to the Muppet Show mentions how Richard was probably given Janice in the 2nd season since he was the only main performer who wasn't already part of the Electric Mayhem. And that in the first few episodes, he wasn't sure what to do with...

It's ok. It had been phrased a little oddly. :)

I always took that to mean he was sick of getting calls asking him to perform the character. He had no connection with Elmo and was annoyed having to keep coming it to do it.

    Grease 3?!

Probably no one is going to agree with this, lol but while Grease 2 was not as good a movie as the original, I liked it a bit more for actually having morals at the end.

    Sesame Street explains the army

It sounds like the video wouldn't be talking about war specifically, just how children can deal with one of their parents going away for a long time. I agree kid's shows like Sesame Street should sometimes serve as an escape from the real world. But Sesame Street addressed the death of Mr...

And interestingly, a lot of his characters seemed to reflect that. Characters who appear tough but are really nice guys underneath (Sweetums, Junior Gorg, Lugsy from Tale of the Bunny Picnic). Or loud, crazy characters who have some kind of "problem" and need help from their friends...

    origins of Richard Hunt characters

Placido Flamingo was also a bit of humor for parents, who would know about the real life opera singer he's based on. And so kids would be exposed to popular culture and recognize it later in life.

Happy birthday, Skye! Muppet Wiki, I believe, posted these interviews with Jerry Nelson and Karen Prell on filmthreat.com (nice website name, heh). These are the pages where they talk about Richard. Very nice mentions ;) Jerry Nelson interview...

Greatest Disney Animted Film-What do you think?

My favorites are Snow White (classic Disney) and Mulan, it really captured girl and boy relationships and how they're different.

    A&E Classroom Sesame Street Biography

I don't know if this was mentioned on the board at all, but I was surprised to see the A&E Sesame Street Biography special on A&E Classroom this morning at 7am. And they're going to saw Part 2 of the special tomorrow (July 18, 2006) at 7am! It's a pretty good special so far, not too much new...

    Sesame Street explains the army

The article says they're not being specific about where he's going. So I guess the main idea is just that he's being deployed as a soldier. It makes sense, a lot of kids have to deal with their military parents being gone. I can't say if it's any good unless I see it of course, (which...

    The RHLC!

I saw Trading Places on SpikeTV a few months ago. It was wierd, I had just been thinking about renting the movie and suddenly there it was on the TV, and right at the ending where Richard's scene was. Yay! It was repeated later that day and I saw some of Frank Oz's scene. He was yelling at Dan...

Great that you got to see Rock Mountain Holiday, Meep. I got to see it at The Museum TV and Radio, it is really cute! I liked seeing Floyd and Janice together. I got the impression this was the second trip The Muppets had taken with John Denver but that Floyd and Janice hadn't been there...

I completely agree, I've felt the same way, and I'd add "bold" and "generous" to the list. You have to be willing to give of yourself to give great performances. ;)

    Museum of Television and Radio

I'd definitely like to see the Academy of Arts and Sciences some day. Of course, I'd like to see California, period! lol I forgot, I was also amazed to find out the Manhattan TV museum has the pilot Puppetman that Jim Henson put together (and Richard Hunt appeared in). Hopefully, the LA...
