Well, looking at Frogboy's comparison photos (thanks, Frogboy!), I see one big difference. Classic Fozzie had his eyebrows right against the top of his eyes where modern Fozzie has them "raised". But the picture from Amazon has one eyebrow higher than other giving him almost a sad expression...
Up on Amazon. Use the link in Phillip's original post in this thread.
Once again, it's a bad picture by the King's of the bad pictures. It still looks like Terry's prototype, though.
:p
Sorry! I missed all of Page 2 of this thread before I posted this... but sounds like you guys pretty...
I agree. Saturday will be two months since there's been a peep from Travis, other than second hand through Terry. It's interesting that Amazon has him up for pre-order and even more interesting that it says "Corgi Fozzie Photo Puppet" and not Master Replicas. But I still can't help being...
I did meet Mel, twice. Once was at a Motion Picture Academy event that was honoring him and the other time I went to a recording session for the new Jetsons that was done in the mid-80's. I didn't really have a chance to talk to him either time, though. By the time of the Jetsons, he was...
Daws was a friend of mine and I studied acting with him for 10 years. He had two sets of those puppets, but one set got stolen. They were made by a famous puppet builder here in Hollywood, but I can't think of his name right now.
Using the same basic understructure as Yogi, he also had an...
Nice to see you back, Terry!
On another subject... and one that is probably more on-topic to this thread... MR had a trivia contest to win a Gonzo (Oops! I started to type "Gonzo Poser" and it came out "Gonzer". Hee, hee. Did I just coin a new phrase?). Anyway, did they ever announce a...
You just have to trust me on this. I've said too much already, but if you can't get him through MR, there will almost certainly be another legitimate way to get him.
:p
This is exactly what I was thinking, but I didn't want to say it. I heard this rumor, by the way, shortly after the last time Travis came on and told us they were waiting for the first proto from China. I just felt I should hold my tongue until there was more evidence. No use in getting...
Wow, that hurt my feelings. I was not being snarky in the least, just honest. The book doesn't go unused. I play the piano and use it for that, which is what it was intended for. I'm sorry it wasn't the answer you wanted to hear, but I also can't fulfill everyone's dreams, either. If I do...
I have good news and bad news... but mostly bad news. I have the book and the song. Many people have asked me for copies and I would be happy to provide them... but, the songbook has a very tight spine and there's no way to get the book into a copier or a scanner without breaking the binding...
Is anyone else concerned that there hasn't even been an e-mail newsletter to Collector's Society Members in over a month? I'm beginning to think there are more problems at MR than just the Muppet line.
:p
No, I believe you are thinking of Hollywood Center Studios, which is very large compared to the studio the Muppets were in. Here is a nice history of Hollywood Center Studios, where a lot of famous productions have taken place. During my acting days, I even did a role on a sitcom that was shot...
