    Your Animal Replica Pictures

That is so true! I haven't liked any Ernie or Cookie Monsters since the originals (see my avatar above). Although, the most recent Cookie Monsters have gotten back pretty close to the original. Ernie has never been the same again. I may have posted this somewhere else in some other thread...

    Master Replicas Gonzo Photo Puppet

My replicas of Jerry Mahoney and Knucklehead Smiff, made from Paul Winchell's original molds, are perfect. The Tom Servo replica that was built for me is perfect. I expect the Muppet "replicas" to be at least as close as the Kermit and Animal are. Anything less and I'm not buying. :p
  3. Was Once Ernie

    Your Animal Replica Pictures

Yes, I absolutely agree with you that the Animal from The Muppet Movie has his eyes right next to each other. But the original Animal from The Muppet Show that is in the clip that I linked to has his eyes separated. I freeze-framed it when he is looking straight into camera. The main...

    Preorder the Animal Muppet Replica

Yes, it should appear now. I would call them. It sounds like they've lost your order. For some reason, mine shipped out later than the others and he's scheduled to arrive on Monday now. :p
  5. Was Once Ernie

    Your Animal Replica Pictures

You're entitled to your opinion, but I freeze-framed on this video that MyMuppet posted in the other thread, then went back and forth between the frame where he was looking directly at camera and Lab Rat's pictures and it sure looks right to me. :p
  6. Was Once Ernie

    Your Animal Replica Pictures

Lab Rat, how did you get the eyelids to stay wide open? :p

    Preorder the Animal Muppet Replica

It's there now, but it was just picked up from San Jose at 3:17 today, so I don't expect to get it until Saturday or even Monday. :p

    Preorder the Animal Muppet Replica

My credit card's been charged, but this didn't work for me. It says they have no record of a transaction with this ID number. :p

    Preorder the Animal Muppet Replica

Based on my observations of the Comic-Con sample, I think his hair... er, feathers... er, whatever, will lay down without being cut. If you notice, his eyebrows are messed up on that one, too. They need to be fussed with. Those figures at Comic-Con get manhandled by the public. By the end of...

    Preorder the Animal Muppet Replica

You're certainly entitled to do what you like with your property... but I'd be extremely reluctant to get a pair of scissors anywhere near a $400 collector's item. :p

    Preorder the Animal Muppet Replica

The Animal that was at Comic-Con is the finished product... and I believe that's the same one that's in the pictures on the MR site. Here are a couple of shots I took at Comic-Con: Comic-Con Story and Pics :p
  12. Was Once Ernie

    The Fate of Muppetvision 3*D

By the way, we're flying through Memphis both on the way in and out, but since we only have about an hour layover and they won't let you past security without a ticket, there's no way we can get together this time. :p
  13. Was Once Ernie

    The Fate of Muppetvision 3*D

Yes, and my wife's 19 year-old daughter. I've gone every five years since 1982. I almost didn't get to go this year, then things worked out and we're going! I'll report back when I return home. :p

    The Writer's Strike

Yes, Alan Alda is a member of the Writers Guild. You can be a member of many unions at the same time. I am in four different unions. :p

"Inspiration" for the Swedish Chef dies...

I just saw an "in memorium" piece on TV this morning... and Chef Tell does bear a small resemblance to the Swedish Chef. They have similar shaped faces and moustaches. Maybe it was his look that was the inspiration more than any other factor. :p
  16. Was Once Ernie

    The Fate of Muppetvision 3*D

I'm going to Disney World in December! :p
  17. Was Once Ernie

Hey, A Mickey Muppet... Have You Seen This Pin?

That's the only one I've seen so far, but she brought it home from the store on the Studio Lot, so I don't know if there are others. :p

Hey, A Mickey Muppet... Have You Seen This Pin?

My wife just bought it for me, but here's one on e-Bay: Kermit Pin Pretty cool, huh? :p
