That is so true! I haven't liked any Ernie or Cookie Monsters since the originals (see my avatar above). Although, the most recent Cookie Monsters have gotten back pretty close to the original.
Ernie has never been the same again. I may have posted this somewhere else in some other thread...
My replicas of Jerry Mahoney and Knucklehead Smiff, made from Paul Winchell's original molds, are perfect. The Tom Servo replica that was built for me is perfect.
I expect the Muppet "replicas" to be at least as close as the Kermit and Animal are. Anything less and I'm not buying.

Yes, I absolutely agree with you that the Animal from The Muppet Movie has his eyes right next to each other. But the original Animal from The Muppet Show that is in the clip that I linked to has his eyes separated. I freeze-framed it when he is looking straight into camera. The main...
Yes, it should appear now. I would call them. It sounds like they've lost your order.
For some reason, mine shipped out later than the others and he's scheduled to arrive on Monday now.

Yes, and my wife's 19 year-old daughter. I've gone every five years since 1982. I almost didn't get to go this year, then things worked out and we're going!
I'll report back when I return home.

I just saw an "in memorium" piece on TV this morning... and Chef Tell does bear a small resemblance to the Swedish Chef. They have similar shaped faces and moustaches. Maybe it was his look that was the inspiration more than any other factor.
