Yeah, Scooter would be good to see. I'd love all the Electric Mayhem members or at least Teeth or Floyd. It's be a nice photoshoot opportunity with Animal.
Rowlf would be a nice one to own. I guess he would be pretty much the same size as Fozzie. I wouldn't be too bothered about seeing any new characters (post 1990) I'd prefer if they stuck to the "classic" characters. Anyone else have an opinion on this?
Jim Henson was always interested in using the most up-to-date technology in his work. Remember Waldo C Graphic in JHH? He managed to incorporate the newest TV and cinema techniques into the Muppets without losing the original Muppet effect that his established years before. I hope Disney don't...
I want to see the more up-to-date prototypes of Animal and Gonzo. The Gonzo photos we have seen so far look pretty spot on but the Animal ones seem to be slightly amiss somehow. Not just the nose size but something else I just can't put my finger on.
I think this is less about the moral issue about some guy making money out of rip-off replicas and more about the fact that we feel "how dare he cheapen The Muppets like that". Either way, it really doesn't take much effort at all to report a seller to eBay when they are selling something that...
I have seen numerous eBay auctions from this guy but never seen a single bid on any of his "replicas". I don't understand why eBay don't have a more advanced system of removing these kind of sellers. They must have his email, Paypal details and home address when he signs up for a new account...
Do we have an idea of how limited the Gonzo photo puppet will be? Maybe 1,500 like Gonzo. I hope they don't limit him too much cos I can't afford to pre-order him.
Good point, hadn't thought of that. Anything with long sleeves would have to be wide enough to fit the characters hands thru tho. I could definitely see MR making a replica trenchcoat and hat for Kermit. How about light props like his "Kermit" mug? The accessories would have to be light so as...
So it's only the edited-for-TV print of that show they have left? It reminds me of when they bought ALF to DVD. All the episodes were released in their cut, syndicated versions.
Fair enough. Personally tho, I would still be more excited in seeing some unreleased footage from The Muppet Show or The Muppet Movie than anything new they could offer. The new stuff doesn't interest me. That's just my own opinion tho. :)
It's fans like us that generally keep them going. What I have noticed is there is most excitement when somthing like The Muppet Show Season 2 DVD is being released and not as much for the new show they are trying to put together. To me, that shows that Muppet fans care more about everything they...
Okay, so we know have a dilemma for Disney. Bring the classic Muppet characters hurtling into the 21st Century by updating them and chaing their personalities or keep using the same old situations and jokes that made them so popular in the first place. I, for one, have liked very little of what...
I loved the mid-80's stuff the Muppets did. Especially when they mixed with Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock. It was really strange to see Kermit and Robin talking to Gobo. It was kinda like the Jetsons meet the Flintstones. You knew it shouldn't really happen but it was kinda exciting. I wish I...
Shrek was released worldwide in 2001 and you can almost guarantee that the story line, marriage and kids would have been planned pretty much at the very beginning. The Muppets have been around since the 1950s and the Kermit and Piggy story started in around 1975. It is much easier to create a...
They deleted 10 seconds for time? What's with these companies that can't leave things alone? It's bad enough deleting because they can't get permission to include a song or sketch but deleting for time is ridiculous, especially when it's on DVD or video.
