Yeah I agree, if EW was separated, they'd have to do renovations on SS. I'm honestly skeptical that either would happen, but you never know. Anything is possible. :)
Hehe, maybe the next special should be about Elmo being asked to leave the street because of all the attention he's getting, and...
Well I do agree that she's had a hard life. But a lot of people have troubled families and manage to rise above it. No one forced her to hang out with a bad crowd, she wants to do it, like a lot of people her age. She's 21 and she's making her own decisions.
And obviously we don't know the...
:attitude: I don't get it...one minute we're having an interesting and cultural discussion about a diving competition and the extremely useful Richter scale and now...
(Hehe, gotta love that Sam!)
I just know I can watch the old SS fine, but not the new show (and I mean the entire show, not just Elmo's World). And I really don't think it's because I like my childhood memories more. I do enjoy several new kids programs today, if they are clever and useful for kids. The new SS is more like...
It could be they are worried that the audience will follow a separate Elmo's World, and abandon Sesame Street. I don't think the rest of the show is that different from Elmo's World right now, and the other characters haven't been able to stake their territory with today's audience as much.
They were likely put on the cover to encourage people to buy it. Otherwise they might get turned off if it looked like a boring or depressing documentary. (Not that I'm saying it was :) ).
(Sort of like how they put Elmo on the cover of everything, heh).
Yeah it's slightly frustrating. People complained about the cut scenes, and thankfully the next set improved on that. But then something we really enjoyed in the first set is removed. ::shrugs:: Well, what can you do? Heh, I do hope they put them back in the next set.
I just don't think that someone who could have endangered lives should be felt sorry for, at least no more than anyone else. Like I said, I'm not condeming Lindsay. But I'm not going to go easy on her just because she's talented or famous. A lot of celebs are talented, but they make bad choices...
Wow a 5, rather generous for Oscar! :grouchy:
Gorg diving competition...the very thought makes me giggle hehehe. I can see Junior Gorg enjoying that. Maybe not Ma Gorg though...and Pa Gorg would probably convince Junior to do it twice so he wouldn't have to. ;)
My favorite part of the documentary is seeing the puppeteers from Bangladesh receiving their puppets for the first time, the audience loved that moment, it was so sweet! And I remember the film editor saying that was the first part she worked on. :)
Just wanted to add that personally I didn't think Chicago was very well thought out as a movie. I only enjoyed a couple of moments. Phantom was pretty good, but I don't really like the musical to begin with, heh. The Producers was disapointing since the stage musical was so amazing.
It would...
I was at the premiere of "The World According to Sesame Street" at The Museum too. It was a very moving documentary and it was great to see Marty in person. I didn't talk to him, but it was a great experience seeing him bring Telly to life, I'd never seen a real Muppet in person. :)
