Owww my teeth! Hehe, sounds good though, especially the whipped cream part!
Btw, do you think Jim ever gave back that that discussion twister board thingie?
And yes, Sam is a pompous featherhead! I feel bad for him whenever he realizes he's not as cultured as he believes himself to be. But I...
Yeah I guess I'm referring to "Elmo's World: Happy Holidays". I never saw the whole thing, just that one part. Thanks!
Yeah I appreicated that too! Back when respecting all religions didn't mean excluding one, hehe.
Yeah, I mean, I understand that no one should feel left out at Christmas...
Well I think if some people want to accept what is given, that's fine for them. But if you don't want to accept what's given, if you have different opinion, that should be OK too. We don't have to accept things if we don't want to. I would not be being honest if I accepted everything I saw out...
That's very true about the Turtles in the comics!
I won't say the same about Robert DeNiro, The Godfather was a decent film that didn't degrade Italian Americans. It told some of the history and accurate story of the mafia. Plus, it didn't celebrate how wonderful the mob is, or protray the...
I read the summary for the special on Muppet Wiki:
"Every year on Sesame Street somebody gets the chance to open the doors of the advent calendar, counting down the ten days until Christmas. This year it's Elmo's turn -- but the wind blows the calendar out of his hands, and he has to hunt all...
Definitely! And you know, you can give a crying child a cute stuffed animal, and sometimes it will make them feel better. And other times they will throw it back in your face, lol! That's the way kids can be. They don't always want to be cheered up right away, they want to cry for awhile. They...
Wow, 11 years! Well you know I was thinking, I wouldn't mind Elmo if he did something, how do I put this...important. Not that making kids happy isn't important. But Sesame Street will be remembered for being a groundbreaking show that occasionally tackled difficult issues and changed the face...
Hmm that is interesting! Though it makes sense in the end, the Turtles are fighting for a good cause (unlike The Sopranos heh).
Yeah I always like that Sesame Street encouraged different points of view and learning to live with different people. But now it's all about popularity; if one...
If I watch this, I'm turning off the Sopranos bit. For a show that's always celebrated diversity and tolerance, I don't like the inclusion of a show that celebrates such a degrading stereotype. Other such stereotypes would never be allowed.
I always thought Jim Henson was overreacting a little...
Actually most of these remakes have not done well at all. Adults don't go to see them, and they don't properly introduce kids to these older characters. Plus the storylines just never work. They really haven't been selling.
Toilet humor jokes have (unfortunately) been in kids movies for years...
I don't know, I think there have always been kids with, heh, low taste levels, just like there are adults. There have also been kids who know good shows when they see them. It just seems that lately entertainment is being targeted at the lowest denominator.
Heh, all that black and white footage was of Beatles fans!
I can't stand toilet humor jokes, it's neither clever nor amusing. The original chimpmunk shows were way beyond that.
It is true that sometimes scenes from the trailer aren't used in the actual movie. I'd really have to see more of...
That's actually not new, Miss Piggy said that in The World of Jim Henson documentary awhile ago. It was cute, but I agree, I do like it better when they comment on Jim Henson (which they have before). But I'd have to see this Muppets on Muppets thing before I judge. :)
