Oh yes I remember this film. I really enjoyed it, though it scared me to death when I was younger. Particularly the part at the beginning about the girl trapped in the painting. And you sort of hear her yelling "Momma!"
I'm normally not freaked out by scary movies. But "The Witches"...
Yes I agree, giving to charity is one of the best gestures, not worrying about whether the flag is touching the ground or not, heh.
Yes it is sad and frustrating when religion is abused in that way. Thankfully religion and faith can also be used for comfort and social justice, in the right...
Hehe, well to be fair, I don't know much about Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff (I'm more of a casual HP fan.) ;)
Definitely worth seeing! I can't really describe it in words but he does sort of imitate how scared he thought they looked, lol. And I was so worried there would be nothing good left to...
Great parody, thanks for posting!
I totally know where you're coming from, Dr Tooth. America is a great country which does contain freedom and justice (at least compared to many many other nations). We are very fortunate. But when it comes to money, we are very weak indeed. Firefighters are...
Very true, and it creates a distorted image. We think the world is just full of misery and bad behaving people. But the reality is there is both good and bad everywhere. It can be hard not to get recognition for the good we do. Though, someone once said, we do good because it is good, not...
Hehe, yeah I think Richard probably wouldn't mind belonging to Slitherin, at least by name, hehe. But he'd also have a Gryffindor side. lol
Hehe yup, singing your troubles away always helps. :)
If you want more specifics, I'll just write it down here, but warning these are SPOILERS...
Ah ok, I wasn't sure. Yes Thank God. I did know someone who went back to help people, he unfortunately wasn't so fortunate. He wasn't a firefighter, he was just a regular guy who wanted to try and help people if he could. He was always a great guy and an inspiration and I miss him. :)
Hehe, it's just that I know. I thought my copy was going to arrive today, but for awhile it looked like it wouldn't. I was so disapointed. My friend tried to tell me that I probably only had to wait a couple more days. But that seemed like an eternity to me! But my friend was right, hang in...
Aw yeah I've noticed a pattern here. Stores don't seem to carry these things on the day they're scheduled to first come out. It always seems to take a few days. I understand the disapointment, believe me. But Friday isn't too far away, you can make it. :)
Thanks for letting us know about your brother. I'm also a big admirer of firefighters and the dangerous, brave (and often thankless) job they have to do.
Right, the old fairy tales were actually quite violent and dark. The real ending of Snow White alone is quite disgusting and odd, heh. And Disney in a lot of ways did stay true to this. Somehow Disney got stuck with this cutesy image, but it's not entirely deserved. For instance, their early...
Yay, my copy came today! The Frith sketches really are amazing. The only thing I might have done differently was maybe put them together in a booklet or something. I can easily see the pages getting lost or wrinkled.
Right now my favorite part is the behind the scenes footage we get to see of...
Oh boy! Oh boy! Ok I finally got over myself long enough to give my Fraggle Season 3 DVD a try.
I know not everyone will be able to see it right away. I don't know how much you would like me to give away.
So far...well MuppetNewsgirl was talking about Richard's writing abilities. You would...
The Mean Genie is definitely in this set and that's one of the ones I'm looking forward to watching! I still recall watching it when I was younger and being quite traumatized, lol.
Hmm, yes very estute. lol I've always been grateful for all my interests which cheer me up with I need it. :)
Aw I'm sorry you couldn't get it. Well hopefully some day you'll be able to pay for it and everything, it'll still be there. :)
Ah thank goodness, a Time Life infomercial on '60s...
Yeah I don't know why our various opinions on Disney should have anything to do with our loyalty to the Muppets. ::shrugs::
Well MFS wasn't Disney, but that does prove my point, that there were problems before Disney. Again, the Muppets are a hard act to repeat. :)
Thanks for the thoughts, really, it's gratifiying to know people care. Yeah it's just been a rotten couple of days, just out of nowhere. I don't always handle stress well, I just get more and more frustrated. I try to let things go but I think that will require a lot more practice.
My copy of...
