Hehe, that's a very cute tradition, MN. I'm actually more from the Pee Wee Herman school of naming things. If I want to talk to my laptop, I just call it "Lappy" lol. It's fun though, it creates a real comaraderie. ;)
Thanks!
I agree, I do hope they talk about Richard on the final disk, especially since he did direct the second to last episode. They've been great so far about including him. It also would be interesting to see Philip and Dennis together.
Hmm interesting!
Lol yeah, actually the whole "Scared" segment is about how Steve and Dave were the practical jokers of Fraggle Rock, always sneaking up on people and scaring them. It was good to have that set up because then it's very obvious why Richard immediately looks at the two of them...
That's a very good point, I hadn't noticed before. Wembley is an explorer in his own right.
Another thing about the "Mean Genie" episode, the whole hand shaking gag was a nice touch. All throughout the episode the Genie keeps tricking and dissing Wembley. So in the end, we know the Genie has...
Oh I see, yeah computers do seem angry at you right now, hehe. I'm sure it'll get better soon, I've had computers turn on me too. :)
Hi, Meep! Hehe glad you liked the spoiler. Definitely worth the wait! I ended up putting quite a few comments in the Fraggle thread about the set as a whole. :)
Hi, ilikemuppets! Oh yeah? I hope your computer's OK now or you got it replaced. That can be so frustrating!
Yeah I had a rather difficult week, but I think things are starting to improve. :)
It's true, we're so obsessed with new technology and flat screens etc, meanwhile content has been suffering for quite a few years now. I don't think this is the first time it's happened though. In the '50s everyone was obsessed with brand new TECHICOLOR. Meanwhile the movies were nothing, just...
I know what you mean, I've always thought about that in regards to the Fraggle DVDs, what he could have contributed to the bonus features. Not to get too sad but you get to see him in this great "Scared Silly" segment, but then he's gone again. Well, I did have one thought. I loved Karen's...
I believe I've gotten through all the bonus features now. What comes to mind is how incredibly generous they were in this set. I can't believe they discussed so many episodes. And it was great to see Tom Newby explain the Gorgs and Doozers in more detail. I believe I'd seen him on the other sets...
Well I'm not too familiar with the specific copyright laws, but that's always been true in entertainment (even before TV). There has always been room for similar shows. I guess it depends on how specifically similar you get. But I mean, let's say one person writes an episode for a TV show about...
Thanks for all the thoughts, guys!
And yes you should definitely be proud of your brother. I can kinda understand his feelings. My Grandfather was actually a firefighter and he always had the attitude that the risks were just part of the job.
Actually that brings up a good point. Charity in the form of money is great, but it's not always realistic. Charity in the form of actions and donating time are just as important. :)
Heh, well we all have our interests. ;)
Yeah I don't think we need so many. Though I don't see them as all the same; I will avoid one judge over another purely due to their personalities, heh. But yeah, I feel like justice is not taken seriously on those shows, it's all about the shock factor.
Ah ok yes I think Richard (and the other performers) would fit in well with all those groups in some way. :)
I did hear that about Muppetfest, very sweet moment. :)
Btw, there's also a very good photo on the DVD of Richard with Junior Gorg, and Junior's other daddy Rob Mills. Hehe
