I had heard of that, I really should read it. Mark Twain was a brilliant clever mind. Yeah I think it's normal to think of Heaven that way. First of all, we have trouble imagining a world without problems. And we know that a perfect world where nothing goes wrong will eventually become dull and...
Yup, I was listening to that the other day actually, I wish I had the book to match! Lol It makes me love my favorite Muppet movie even more. Amazing how they were able to put such effort into their projects and merchandise.
"That's the turn the page bell!"
"I know!" ;)
I actually...
Hehe, yeah the old debate of Muppet canon. The thing is, the Muppets carried on the grand tradition of Vaudeville and 1930s movies. Where character actors and comedians played the same personalities over and over again in different stories and different situations. For instance the Marx Brothers...
Exactly! Just as a quick side bar, people often assume Heaven must be boring because there's no work to be done. But others speculate that that's not exactly true. Rather that there is work, but it's not hampered by unfairness and misery (such as budget cuts or lay offs).
It's true, in this world there are things that can be called genuine art and other things that just make money. I'm not saying which is which, and they sometimes overlap heh. But it is true that the quality entertainment is often what's disrespected. Sometimes it's frustrating to me. Other times...
Cousin Pam was a teenage character and Cliff's cousin who came to live with the family later in the series. She was more used to tough living with no rules and had to get used to the Huxtables' strict and responsible life style.
Yeah that's nice, hehe. I always sort of pictured it like the way it was in The Jim Henson Hour where Jim was able to talk to and interact with the Muppets, actually be part of the show. Richard already enjoyed doing that of course, lol. But we rarely got to see it. One thing I'd like to think...
I just think it will take a long time for the Muppets to find the right person/company that works for them. In my opinion, it wasn't working before Disney. And as someone said before, Disney is missing opportunities.
People do forget that Disney was pretty much gone after Walt died, and...
It could be that they're trying to phase out Elmo's World. I don't discount that. I'm just saying companies know by experience that when they start rerunning a show too much, people get tired of it and stop watching (yes even if they're little kids).
Any of these theories could be true. All...
It is a bit disapointing of course, but I think companies tend to think of the general audience who may have none of the tracks, rather than the hard core fans to take the time to get the songs. :)
It's just that I saw an episode the other day and while it didn't feature Elmo World's, it felt like the same sort of show. Only without the very popular character. Not sure it would work.
Though, even if it did, I'd rather show my kids the older episodes, at least in conjunction with the new...
I personally wouldn't want a separate Elmo's World. Just because I doubt the original show would survive without it, as difficult as that is for me to say. I could be totally wrong and if I am, that's great. But for now, that's where I am.
But another thing, separating Elmo's World almost...
