Yeah i've seen some good VCD's but the majority are usually poor quality. People should always learn the quality and source before buying - although even if a VCD was well done, and time spent on it i guess nowadays that time would be better spent transferring to the recordable DVD format...
The boy (Brian) did stuff before ALF, but not after. He's at college and skates. The mother, Kate is now an interior designer, the daughter Lynne is looking at doing some TV presenting but is otherwise married with a little girl to one of the ALF production crew guys. The kid who played the...
Could be September, i think thats a little early though - they would wait till the whole Muppet Babies push starts up. Did it not say in the press release ?
They have no money, so i would guess the motivation for them to do things nowadays would be for the potential to profit, if someone could come up with a good proposal for Henson Interactive to develop something subscription wise you never know. They did put together a mailing list around the...
Possible, but i think persuading Disney to commision something new is going to be very hard. They have more than enough Bear at the moment to start paying for more. How are the ratings for Bear anyway, has it been declining towards the end ?
Yeah i was gonna say that, if they had big screens there, that was what the video was primarily feeding - it's different than filming something for TV. Interesting that the version is Muppets only though.
It would actually have been a good collectors item to sell via a Muppet fan club if...
I think their view was that it wasn't worth doing without the rights to the humans and that would cost too much so umm no, doesn't look like it - but apparently anything is possible !
...... umm it is supposed to be illegal to sell for profit anything 'off air' outside of personal use in any form of media. Admittedly it is legally cloudy though and not like pirating a commercial release. I guess we can take Alcatraz off standby. Generally people come here to chat and have...
Well of course selling them for profit would be illegal, it's probably not such a good idea using the forum to hock pirate merchandise. Trading and duplicating for a friends personal use is so much nicer. :grouchy:
I didn't really mean merchandise - i was just using the clause in their contract as an example of them making moves to encourage more of a distinction between themselves and Henson as two seperate competing production companies. I'm not sure how it works with merchandise, if at all, guess...
This has come up at the Palisades forum - all the "Steppin Out" figures are like this, it's a design fault to do with their not being enough clearance space between the head and the body or something. I think you can get a refund if you like, you'd have to ask them.
Yeah that's what i meant - maybe they did get permission from one or both just for the sake of it but i don't see them in TV terms actually needing it to go ahead in putting out the matierial on the DVD. Quite possibly they needed it to use the term 'Muppets' in the title. I thought the...
Amen sir, and it gets even more serious when celebrity guests start bursting into unexpected songs while live on air - i've seen plenty of cases of suicidal directors and producers on occasions like that.
I think Chilly mentioned the rights issue between Henson and Sesame - it doesn't come...
You'd think so, but no. I actually think the divide is much bigger than you think and it's the other way around. In the states people make a lot less distinction between Muppets and Sesame because the relationship was always hyped a lot more and the two shows became such a big part of the...
