Don Austen being the original puppeteer for "Groove" from "The Hoobs" as well i might add. Very cool guy.
So Count, are your listings going to include characters from Moppatops Shop, Hoobs, Animal Jam, Bamabaloo etc etc ? They are all Muppets - doing Moppatops is going to be hard though...
Yeah they are the possibles, but i would bet it's neither. Bambaloo's schedule goes upto October so i'd imagine those have all been made, and not sure whether Animal Jam went beyond the intial season. It could be that the whole company has nothing in production right now aside from "Five...
Thanks for the great feedback guys, yeah - i thought it was important for there to be some overall chronicle of events, it will always be a very important period in the companies history ...... and this will remind us of the nightmare ! LOL ! Also kudos to Phillip on all the great work he did...
Hoobs is out of production, has been since July 2002 although it's still very popular and airs 2-3 times daily. With all the recent promotion it made me wonder if they will make more but they do have 250 in the can so it's not all that important they do. Not sure whether Animal Jam is still in...
Hoobs was out of production and it's sketchy if it was going back or not, Moppatops has been out of production for a while, Bear isn't a UK show, and Construction Site i'm not sure about. This is if it's completely accurate though - i was aware of some of the UK people working on new pre-school...
Hi Guys,
If you take a trip to your nearest 'Photo-Me' booth in the UK not only can you have your picture taken with Kermit, but you can also enter the Ultimate Muppet Fan competition where you can win the following :-
Complete Set Of 'Best Of The Muppet Show' Videos
Both 'Very Best Of...
Exactly, i think that poster was under-estimating the importance of the UK side. They are the people who basically keep Henson afloat when the Muppets are in a 'down' period, so to lose that, it would probably be a decision made to keep the company even in business. They must have like zilcho...
Sorry to hear that bad stuff may be going down that affects Henson UK - not sure whether the news as reported here is actually fully 100% correct as to exactly whats happening. I'm sure we'll be hearing more over the next few days once people find out exactly whats going on.
One things for...
Needless to say, this is a moral outrage - is no costume character safe from the swinging fists of the general public (and the pesky kids) ? You'd think goosing them twenty times a day would be enough but oh no, it has to come to violence. Personally i would advise all the costumed charcater...
Ah yes, Play-Doh. I've heard about that, eat the fluorescent kind cos that way if it gets stuck round your teeth you'll also glow in the dark when you take a late night stroll. No chance of getting mowed down by a car, bike or skating penguin ..... no sireee, not then !
:zany: < Wheeeeeee !
Y'know when you're starving, plastic can taste good ! But if you don't want to eat your action figures then i can highly recommend those styrofoam thingies you get inside packages - eat em fast though or they go stale !
Hmmmmm wonder which Muppet figure tastes the best ? If Ken was here i'd...
OK, i really love sitcoms and cartoons so there'll be quite a few :-
ALF
NewsRadio
Roseanne
Step By Step
Mork & Mindy
Happy Days
Out Of This World
Will & Grace
Frasier
That 70's Show
The Larry Sanders Show
The Addams Family
The Munsters
Fawlty Towers
...... and the list goes...
I don't really agree, i think the early speaking ages would have trouble with Kermit and Big Bird. Elmo is a given because of Elmo's World but Sesame Street has been in quite a slump for the last few years. I think the 96% figure is nearer a more accurate one, taking that into account and also...
Actually the public awareness is a funny thing because it depends who you speak to at Henson. The press office line is 99% global awareness but most of the management use 96%. That seems very high though, i'd think if anything Kermit has the high recognition rate and not the brand as a whole...
Yeah me neither, but even if they held another one unless it was between specific dates and in a specific location i probably still couldn't go - sheesh. Maybe they should take the Muppets on a stage show world tour - like "An Audience With The Muppets" - play one or two dates on the East...
Yeah he's been pitching his own talk show for a few years now but it looks like it's about to happen. A puppet talk show will be fun - i'd also like to see a puppet spoof reality show or movie, the Muppets would be great for that and it'd be very 'current'.
Exactly, it's Mickey who didn't want the Muppets - his loss though !
.... and to the previous poster, no Henson didn't buy the company back a while ago, they just signed an agreement to do it. That agreement has only just been approved and the money and ownership changed hands.
