It was a smart move for the Henson kids. I'm not so sure it ended up a smart move for the Henson Company. Initially i guess the kids planned it so that a well funded Henson under EMTV would have been fine meeting the rent and they'd personally gain from it on the side. The way things actually...
There were the 'Mutinous Penguins' in an episode of Count Duckula - they took over a ship. Hmmm .... a Penguin mutiny - how does www.penguincentral.com sound ???? LOL !!!
Great thread people !
:zany:

Was it ever established whether the Piggy video at Muppetfest was Frank or Eric ? I had heard it was a closet Eric performance done on video as if by Frank to see if anyone noticed but not sure if it's true or not.
Thats what i thought, but there continues to be these serious rumors they are about to make some big cuts in the USA soon and it's hard to see where. You would assume staff cuts but i thought they had already got it down to the bare minimum, they couldn't completely close TV production because...
I don't think the UK had any problems, it was doing well, maybe better than the USA at least production wise. It just cost too much to run and i guess when you are talking Henson, they've got to look after the American side of the business and the Muppets first. Don't get me wrong, it's...
Guys,
Just wanted to explain that the reason i had to rewrite the article was because my copy of Broadcast went 'missing' so i had to grab a friends when we were out and about and just take quick notes on my PDA. I think you can actually get the original now by signing up for a free trial at...
It will ship to Target again at the same time as the release of Series 5 and then Series 6 but these shipments will be in smaller quantities than the Series 4 release.
AFAIK those rights remain unsold at the moment and are back with Henson. Not sure if they are offering those right now, or if anybody wants them. I think Henson charge a lot more than some other companies.
I agree, these last two deluxe sets have been a million miles away from the first two that came out. Obviously the geek section of Star Trek fans hang around comic shops a lot so Palisades is going to be in the right place to cash in - you just gotta hope that there isn't some limited edition...
There is only one playset announced as yet, not two. I think Palisades are taking it easy, they have begun work on this one but i think it's release depends on how Swinetrek sells.
Yeah you gotta hand it to him - Mike has guts ......
Now what could it be :-
1) Mega Beaker In A Brown Box (also known as a mailing carton)
2) Fozzie With Ltd Edition Penguin (just use black sharpie on the rubber chicken and hope nobody will notice)
3) Not So Super Scooter (figure in...
Danny Horn's website "Toughpigs" has an article written by an Anonymouse source taking you behind the scenes of "Muppetvision 3D" - fantastic stuff, with photos and the opportunity to ask questions about the attraction. Check it out at :- http://www.toughpigs.com/journalmuppetvision.htm
I think with the forum down this gives him opportunity for a rest - poor guy. Still answering all these questions could lead to a glittering career as a game show contestant !
It looks good, the chair and phone are very good. The way the figures been sculpted shows off a lot of the joints and lines but the paint will take a lot of the attention off it.
Although suprisingly in both real life discussions and interviews it's none other than Frank Oz who has been the one to give a nudge, wink and smile when asked if Bert and Ernie were supposed to be gay.
:p :(
I think you should be free to repost, with the links - just in a thread in the general discussion forum about AIDS, not Richard. I'm guessing thats the problem - his death has been publicly reported as being from AIDS, he was a public figure so as long as a thread about his death contains fact...
Apparently they are going to list the lineups for the next few series in a club newsletter for club members only next week, it'll include pictures of the S7 sculpts. I don't know when they plan to announce it to non club members but i'd imagine you'll see it listed on the forums anyway.
