Well the whole anniversary and Muppetfest is something to be thankful of EMTV for - they could certainly have put a stop to JHC spending money and if the company would have stayed under the control of the kids, it may well have run into so many problems that they would have had trouble funding...
Yeah i wasn't too happy about the sale to EMTV either - i can't believe that Henson's kids sold the whole legacy to a German company. I guess it was made easier for them by $680 Million being waggled in front of their face, mounting company problems and also false promises that they would be...
Victory is ours ? You'd hardly know it - is it ? Yeah the sale was approved by the shareholders but does the company just pass over today or was there some kind of final agreement signed ? You'd think they would do a press release or something.
As for the company getting back on track from...
Hey now kids, it's neither been confirmed nor denied that Gonzo has ever actually done anything with Camilla. I think we're getting into one of those Clinton/Lewinsky grey areas here, don't make me have to go fetch the Henson lawyers !
:concern: :attitude: :zany:
*GASP* Shock revelation revealed - Travis' cat 'Stuart' in secret love affair with Britney Spears - pictures posted of them leaving a top Beverly Hills hotel together, arm in arm .... errr paw !
Why do i get the feeling thats a prank and they'll post an image of themselves naked with only blister packs to cover their modesty as a joke ........ or is that my sick mind. Oh yes, it is ........ (runs away)
I'm not saying kids wouldn't watch it, i mean it is quite innovative as you say, even for todays media. I just don't think an old show being distributed has quite the same impact on the pre-school industry as something that is brand new. Nowadays they like to produce the show at the same time...
Yeah i am also more of the persuasion that if they were going to relaunch something for pre-school then Fraggle would have had the best chance of a 'hit' but then i also think they would have had to remake Fraggle completely, as even todays puppet shows are so different in style. If kids aren't...
The point is that they made a big splash at the start though and it continued for a while. Believe me, you can promote the heck out of something and get people to look for a minute, but it's a whole other thing to get them to stay tuned, and get into the brand enough to go and buy merchandise...
Well obviously it'll return to the mainstream, you could make trained seal dancing popular with the public with the size media push Henson and the licensee's are about give Muppet Babies. The question is more will it have much of an impact - i'd say no, i think it's going to be quite a mediocre...
Crazed UK fans ? Warrick is probably the only person who could have afforded to go - i'm surprised he didn't put a bid in for the Muppets. He could probably run Henson a darn site better than EMTV too !
(then again, trained monkeys or Flipper could have too !)
Well yeah, from my experience celebs do tend to see these cruises as free vacations - you just have to do an appearance here and there and the rest of the time you can do what you like in luxury for free. I don't think Henson would have specifically not wanted anybody to go, it was a cruise...
Exactly, LOL - they probably didn't tell people about it for fear of MC'ers getting ideas of stowing away !
Maybe i should buy an old boat and book the Muppeteers on a no frills, cheap stay, wear a life preserver at all times, no guarantee you might not sink cheap holiday cruise. That'd suit...
