I heard about this and it sounds wierd to me - they had Pres Bush come out and specifically talk about it which makes me think that it wasn't just an ordinary fault of some kind. Y'know they're supposed to have computers and satellites and things now that could wipe out a country's power within...
Well the skating PVC will be out at Xmas and a fine job has been done, other than that - no new news but i'd bet that they have penguin plans, it was very much what everybody stated they'd like. Also i think it was Quinn that had the idea of a MTI Rat Tours Mini-Playset and Ken included that on...
This is exactly the kinda stuff the Muppets should be getting into as well ! Too bad it's just Sesame but what better mix than Elmo and Canada ....... maybe America can refuse to accept him back. The PR at Sesame Place who organised this deserves a gold star !
It doesn't actually say it's the Palisades figure though - what would they be doing giving that away in showbags ? Bad publicity if it is though but at least they didn't get namechecked !
Yeah they do make a lot of money from renting it out all the time - just you'd think doing stuff to get their own brands out there would be their first concern but i guess not.
With the TV production - the people who are critical are Pete Coogan, Angus Fletcher and Mellie Buse. The first two work in management anyway and Mellie i think (the writer of UK Henson stuff) is freelance so the real people who matter most will probably just relocate or maybe they are keeping...
I don't think he's spot on, extremely close though. I think the skin tone is one shade too pale. Yes, Jim was very pale, but thats very very pale. Just a nitpick though. It'll look better with the texture.
I don't see anything bad with having an action figure of the Jim muppet, Palisades...
A heck of a lot, so it seems. The trouble is that TV is changing a lot at the moment. A few years ago, it took a lot to start up a Satellite/Cable TV channel and so the companies behind the ideas that were any good were major players in the industry with major backing. Nowdays (especially in...
It makes sense to cut back the UK admin people - licensing, PR etc as thats all stuff that can be easily done from the states. It's the management and the creative people that are critical to the UK side doing well. I think a lot of the TV people there are freelance anyway - so once they get...
On that note, remember that Columbia Tristar poll where we voted for which sitcoms should be released on DVD ? The results came out. I'm not sure if Bewitched was amongst the winners, but i know NewsRadio was.
Look around here a bit and you might find that we've talked about it a fair bit over the last six months too. Most recently at :-

I picked up a Denver video a few months ago - fantastic stuff. I'm also a massive supporter of the Racoons ! There was talk of some new shows but nothings happened. I'd love DVD's though.
Very nice stuff, The Jim figure looks great, but there is something 'off' i can't put my finger on - possibly the skin color is very slightly a shade too pale ? Other than that - perfect ! The Clifford repaint looks fantastic !
Well when i was at school i wanted to be a lawyer, journalist or computer programmer .... how naive we are at that age ! At first i tried to be a bra fitter (too over-qualified), martian (no visa !), and of course then there was that tenure as a poledancer but least said about that the better...
