I agree about Scully, I don't see why she's called a "sidekick." I'm on the fence about Spock. I agree, technically Captain Kirk is the lead on the show. But Mr. Spock is very close to being his equal rather than a "sidekick."

That's a good point. Though I have heard of other instances where the Christian church has made references to different types of beliefs or mythology over the years, because they help make a point.
All the Rankin and Bass ones are wonderful. Another great one is The Fat Albert Easter special. It really captures the whole point of Easter; making mistakes, being forgiven, new life coming from tragedy. It's amazing!
Oh I totally understand, I often wonder in my regular life if I vent at people too much. I mean it's great to have friends who care and will listen, but at the same time, you don't want to feel like a bother, lol. But you're fine, don't worry about it. :)
Yeah, if only the movie theaters would give you your money back! Hehe
I also want to be able to say I actually saw the movie and actually judged it. In one of these cases, I just got so offended and depressed, I had to leave for my own sanity.
Well you know, I try to do a combination of professional reviews and reviews from the fans etc. It's just that I've had two experiences in my life where I went to see two (non Muppet) movies that turned out to be dreadful. I literally walked out on one. And I want to avoid that at all costs, lol.
Well it's this sort of debate that comes up occasionally. Just because some fans are critical of the newer projects, doesn't mean they don't support the Muppets as a whole. :)
As for seeing the movie once it is done, I probably will wait for just a few reactions before seeing it. Trailers can...

But anyway, yeah I guess companies are being told to be more and more strict with the I.D. thing. I mean, all cashiers really should check to make sure a person's signature on their credit card matches the signature they give...
