I'm not so much panicking as much as throwing in the towel on this one. Unless there's a HUGE weekday miracle or there was an uptick in Sunday that wasn't reported (I absolutely hate how they call the weekend Box office Sunday morning There's still a WHOLE day to go). There is NO REASON this...
I can't wait to see the fanbase complain about this one prematurely
It's kind of disappointing that A) Transformers Prime ended and B) this is an over a year long wait for the next series... but Hasbro actually seems more clever this time with the roll out of an animated series. Waiting a...
My only complaint with Murray lies in the block format, not the character himself. But the fact we have a character on Sesame Street that goes out into the real world and interacts with people on the street does my Muppet fan heart proud. Anytime I look at Murray filming in Central Park and...
I'll say this. While I did want The Muppets soundtrack (never got it), I have such a burning desire to grab this one up. While there's no Man or Muppet epic song in the film, I have to say the songs in the film overall are consistent in their quality. No "Me Party" here. Just catchy, breezy...
As I've said in another thread, I'm completely sick to death that it's making so little, but as long as it can somehow get to half budget by the end of the weekend, I guess that would be considered not terrible. On the one hand, a 50 million dollar film barely making back its budget is still a...
The Muppets was made solely to get this movie made. I'll just say it. This was by far a more enjoyable, and better put together film. it didn't feel like they were trying to shove 3 films into one, they didn't end the movie's plotline during the credits. The humans were more engaging this time...
I can't say I'm not hugely depressed about this. The Muppets was good, but by all means, this was a far better film on every level. Editing especially. There is no reason this shouldn't have at least had a 30 million opening. Disney promoted the crap out of this film, and it doesn't hold the...
Look at it this way.
We've got two theatrical films. At one point, that was considered impossible. I mean, if we were lucky, there's be some TV project that would be alright, I guess, but not a real movie. Things have been looking better.
Yeah, it kinda sucks that there hasn't been a TV...
I have tentative plans to see this late Sunday. If I wasn't going to some convention that was ill timed to be the same weekend, you know I'd see it this afternoon.
So yeah, I have to wait an extra 2 days voluntarily. So I'm going to try to avoid this site at all costs.
However, the one...
Well, the season finale was on today. I guess they were waiting for the first day of Spring to tie in the whole plant theme... but they really make you wait for the last episode of the season that way.
Anyway, we close the season with a good Stinky the Stinkweed storyline. Zoe's there too...
For a Cars third movie to win back over critics, they need a stronger concept than 90 minute Saturday Morning Cartoon style plot. Now, I liked the second film and it had more heart than it needed to, but the film clearly was intended for younger audiences and spoke directly to them. Well, for...
The last issue of Rocky and Bullwinkle features an Angry Birds variant
It's kinda cute, but not as epic as the Ghostbusters and Star Trek Bird variants.
Kinda disappointed there's no TMNT, Transformers, Dexter's Lab, or MLP:FIM Angry Bird crossover covers.
Edit: Closer inspection of...
What? It isn't extremely obvious they were going to make a third one? The second they announced 2, I was expecting to hear the announcement for 4, 5, and 6!
Hopefully, the plot for this next one will be more down to Earth. The spy thing feels like it was a Mater short for the Disney Channel...
The lack of availability of certain characters is what pretty much led Elmo to become the show's major breakout character at that time. Not to mention how he's essentially the same age as most of the target audience, so he somehow relates. But since they recast most of the core classic...
There hasn't been a single announcement about that movie since they reported they had to change the name because no one liked the idea of Disney copyrighting a sacred holiday. Can't blame them.
Seems we might get 2 films next year, as The Good Dinosaur's internal problems got the film pushed...
Heh. The only Croods stuff I finally saw was tucked away in the back of TRU's Preschool section. Turbo at least was out front and everywhere, but it cleared out really quick when the movie flopped in the US (except for TRU, they never clear stuff out until years later).
I agree that we...
I'd honestly rather they have made a deal with Henson to have a Fraggle in there.
But last go around, SW wanted too much for Elmo to appear. At least we get a clip of the show this time. Besides, we haven't had a Sesame Street cameo since MTM (unless you count the front stoop of 123 Sesame...
